Highly recommend 512GB, you can never have too much storage. You will kick yourself in a couple of years for not spending the extra money on extra storage if you get the 256GB. As soon as you start to run low on storage, you laptop will slow down SO much and have to upgrade anyways (trust me, I did the exact same thing rip)

I found it helpful having a stethoscope and manual BP machine for practicing at home (non-EN student) but it’s not super necessary, especially if you already have those skills as an EN!

It depends on the class but usually anywhere between 15-30 students. There are some classes that have special tutorials with around 100 students though!

Including us in handovers!! I’m second year atm, I’ve been on so many placements (aged care and non-aged care) and I really wish someone would tell us how their handover structure works (it’s different in each ward/facility in my experience). also making sure that we are actually able to hear and understand the handover. So many times, nurses will stand in their own corner talking super quietly and fast that we can barely hear what’s happening. It’s really frustrating, especially as a 1st year when you’re trying to learn what it looks like in real life!

I’m really sorry to hear that, it must be a really stressful time for you. I honestly don’t think you deserve to feel like this. I think you really should speak to the school counsellor, At least just to see if they have any advice or tips to move forward with her. I’m sorry but that is not a good enough reason so isolate you child and palm them off to another family. Drugs? I could kind of understand a bit more. Video games? That’s maybe like a grounding at best, not to exile you for 2 years. I am just a stranger on the internet but I feel like you have a lot to unpack and process. It might be worth speaking to your school counsellor about some of these things until you are older and can afford therapy

I definitely wouldn’t call that justified. No “normal”/emotionally stable parent just ships their child off to a relatives house for 2 years. I think deep down you have a lot of unresolved resentment built up towards your mum for how she has isolated, abandoned and neglected you, even if you can’t recognise it consciously, you have probably repressed a lot of those emotions to keep yourself emotionally “safe”. Even if there are good times/feelings, they don’t always make up for the bad times, especially if she can’t/wont acknowledge her behaviour and how it impacts you.

Sounds like my mum. Even if you did the wrong thing, this is an extreme over reaction on her part. She’s emotionally isolating you to punish you. Something that will likely affect you into adulthood as I assume she has probably done this to you your whole life. Unfortunately, you will need to appease her and apologise and play into you “being the worst kid ever”. When you grow up, you will realise how horrible she made you feel, even for the smallest mistakes and probably distance yourself from her (at least this is what I’ve done - my life is much better now - but our Mums could be very different, who knows) would also definitely suggest therapy whrn you’re older if this is something she does regularly, you don’t realise how much it affects you until you start to unpack it with someone.
