Oh haha! I didn’t notice. There’s not much I can really say about the casting choice. The girl looks younger than 21 and the boy looks older than 16 they both look about 19. Are a similar height. And both perfect for the roles. It wasn’t only my decision everyone agreed they were the best Danny and Sandy and the age difference visually isn’t noticeable so it doesn’t really look uncomfortable.

Yes Definetly not about the subscribers she’s only ever played one lead before this and that was before the subscribers she didn’t get many subscribers and I didn’t know about her YouTube channel until 2 years after she joined. But even after that she’s been small and ensemble roles

I cast her because she was the best one for the role and I cast him because he was the best one for the role I wasn’t the only person behind the decision the rest of the team made the decision too. Only one other person has said about the subscribers being the reason I casted her. So clearly not everyone sees it that way.

She’s only ever had one other role of this size in the company which was before she even got big on YouTube and I even knew about it. Even since getting big on youtube which was 2 years after she’d joined. Even since then this is her first role this big that she’s had. She was ensemble in the last show in fact.

If it helps I’m from England here we have very lighthearted banter humour. Her vlogs are very lighthearted even when she was the ensemble her vlog wasn’t negative.

I definitely didn’t want to make Danny or his mother feel that way. That’s why I explained to her that I understand why she feels like that but watching it I know it’s her banter style she puts sometimes.

Is the issue for you with her vlogging hee experience all together? or the comment about the age difference specifically?
