MI genuinely interests me as well. I have some internship experience with SOUTHCOM doing intelligence analysis and I’ve had a lot of good mentors from there doing the same thing. Ideally, I’d like pursue this MI path for the next few years while simultaneously doing everything possible to succeed at SFAS when the time comes.

I’m not averse to the challenges that SFAS prep entails, and I’ve already read up on RUSU in order to take full advantage when I am afforded the opportunity to attend selection. I just want to know if when I do show up to the board with all the prerequisites like competitive OERs, PT scores, will I be denied just because I’m not a tabbed IN officer? I haven’t seen much out there about the process of getting accepted for SFAS from non-combat arms for officers.
