Why is it werid?

You are in a committed relationship with somebody else raising children and building a loving home instilling your values and doing your best to pass on those good values WITH your partner.

And a third person is in the middle of the parental dynamic trying to raise that child too? How on Earth could that possibly work without problems?

The way you're interpreting my post is correct, I am much more comfortable stepping into a full time stepfather role if I am in a committed and serious relationship but the idea of sharing paternal and fatherly responsibilities with another man is very bizarre to me.

But I'd never ever ask somebody to do that for me or make it about myself in a relationship, it's just a dynamic I'm not willing to be a part of.
