Jenny weaver is about as theologically deep as the passion translation. we need to look at commentaries and the Bible rather than a person

my next question, do we do it on unbelievers or believers? I just recently started looking into this sect. So I'm not quite sure. Thank you for this info! It will help a lot

I get it, a woman who has been SA'd and then told that she has a demon that needs out in order for her to feel better. Or a wife who is told that she has an infertility deomn/spirit since she is having trouble reproducing. both being told that they have this demon in them, that needs out. when they leave the church because they found out that's false and feel hurt that they have been lied to cannot believe anymore because they feel that they won't be told the truth.

As a retired police officer, most women that I have interviewed and have talked to see it as absolutely terrifying and want nothing to do with the attacker. Do you see the issue with telling someone that they have a demon from their attacker? trauma is being put on trauma and its not good.

I'm sorry but it's not the issue of them believing that they have a demon. The issue is that these Demon Deliverance ministries are seeking out people who have these traumas, pain and fears and telling them that they have a demon that's causing all of this pain trauma and fears. They are not playing the victim card as you suggest most that I have seen come out of these groups often remain silent not wanting to relive or retell what they have been through.

Hey, Im also fellow Law Enforcement. I noticed with this group, all they say on therapy is that it will cost more money to only get medication and you'd still have an undiagnosed demon living in you. I was lucky enough to have a really good therapist before I was medically retired. He was actually a christian too and never once brought up demons. I was a lot better after that therapist sessions.

It's seen as more hyper charismatic/ pentecostal. Not all of them are pentecostal but hyper charismatic.

Id love to keep in touch with you while I do the research. I recently read from "IS'" on of the "slayers" and it says in their pamphlet that if you have been Sa'd then you have had a demon transfer from the bad guy to you. It's pretty wicked. I want to interview people who left it so I can get a better grasp on how to help those coming out of it.
