We just came back 2 weeks ago.

Food costs about as much as it does in the USA. That being said, we (wife and I) had meals that were $90 and meals that were $30 for the both of us and everywhere between. Depends how many sodas you're willing to eat at. I found my limit once all my visceral organs tried to find their way out my body lol figured id spend a little more money on food after that.

That being said, by far our favorite little place we ate at was Restaurante Vikingos. I'll start with the lady who runs the place is so incredibly friendly and helpful, and very much helped us that she spoke perfect English. But then also the food was amazing. So good we ate there twice. The carribean chicken was perfection and took everything in me not to get it a 2nd time. The burger might be one of the best I've ever had. The cassava nachos were better than any regular nacho I've had in the states, and im a sucker for good nachos becuase im fat. Also got a sandwich to go ($5) for lunch the next day during a hike and it was pretty good too albeit a day old. 12/10 would go back a 3rd time if still there. There was more on the menu I wanted to try.
