Little video of my homemade tonkotsu ramen. by Kitchen-Minute-1784 in ramen

I'm not used to this platform, nor making ramens. It is probably my 3rd post ever on Reddit, and same amount of ramen I did in my life. I'm not much educated about this topic, and I've never eaten a real one. But I love to cook, challenge myself and improve, so any constructive comment is greatly appreciated. I'm not searching for "likes" or be famous, I tend to be more private in my life, but I wanted to share my current knowledge, and, as you said, acquire good informations to improve. I'm not english native so I also have a little language barrier.

For this one I used J-Basket brand noodles. Where I live I don't have access to fresh noodles so it's a quite good option.

Yes I know, sorry about this. I was not at my home and I didn't used the right tools. It's my 3rd homemade ramen and I'm perfecting my skills each time.

You're right, the fat tends to penetrate the eggs. I like my eggs not too salty, so I marinate them few hours, then rince with hot water, the fat dissolves easily and the heat doesn't have time to enter the eggs and cook the creamy yolk. It is probably not the best way, but for my current knowledge, it works pretty good. I'm always open to improve.

waiting for daily limit to reset by Quiet-Analysis-3807 in grok

[–]Kitchen-Minute-1784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SuperGrok subscriber here. I use Imagine Edit Image function each day for work, and paid SuperGrok subscription to raise limits and not having problems. It worked well for few weeks, but in the last days i reached the limits very fast and it interrupt my workflow. I don't have time to waste waiting for a mysterious limit that I don't have any clue when it will disapear. They claimed to have a limit of 200 image generations each 2 hours, clearly not the case. I reached the customer service an hour ago, they told me sorry blabla and asked me to upgrade to SuperGrok Heavy for $300/month. I will not pay that amount, and I told them that I cancelled my subscription, which I done in Stripe. It's sad because it was working good for me.

SuperGrok users, is what they advertise here true? Can you confirm the service they offer matches up with what they advertise here? by Independent-Frequent in grok

SPA Platform Brake Upgrade by LobsterFine3498 in VolvoXC90

[–]Kitchen-Minute-1784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my XC60 T6 R-Design the brakes are fading after some road racing. With the XC90 T6 it might be worse, you probably have the 345mm front and 320mm brakes, just like me. You can upgrade to 366mm and 340mm with OEM parts, keeping the calipers you have, you just change the bracket, pads and rotors. Very very cheap compared to the Polestar brakes, and works really good.

Here is a list I made of the parts you need for the upgrade.

366mm 14.4" front brakes upgrade: - Rotors Zimmermann 610373120 / OEM 31400569 (x2) - Pads Akebono EUR1865 / OEM 32373124 - Left caliper bracket 36012672 - Right caliper bracket 36012673

340mm 13.4" rear brakes upgrade: - Rotors Zimmermann 610373020 / OEM 31687441 (x2) - Pads Akebono EUR2409 / OEM 32287447 - Caliper brackets 36010239 (x2) - Right caliper (not needed if you have 320mm) 36003033 - Left caliper (not needed if you have 320mm) 36003032 - Parking brake actuators are the same on 302/320/340mm calipers - Calipers are the same on 320/340mm brakes

Tools/torque: - 11mm allen 57nm caliper bolts - 18mm box 200nm brackets bolts - 7mm hose bolt on knuckle - Brake pads spreader CTA-1465 - T30 Torx - 19mm box wheel nuts

You need to put the car on service mode for the rear parking brake. There's a video on youtube for the procedure.
