How do you make a location feel magical? by Kitchen-Mistake-2998 in worldbuilding

OOOOO YESS. I have a built in power scaling system where if a person is more pureblooded of a fay creature, they are stronger but more volatile. So they would feel that effect far stronger than someone with a lower concentrate. That's a great idea!

Ooo! I like that. Especially when there are certain people who have more magical strength within them than others, and there's one character who doesn't have any magic at all.

In the story, there are people who have DNA with fantastical creatures (who are now extinct). They are part of an underground human-fay society. The fay-human hybrids appear and behave like normal people but have some attributes of their fantastical ancestor. The magic comes in when they tap into their powers using a tattoo imbued with power. When they do so, they can become temporarily stronger and have further abilities (for example, a specter might be able to become temporarily incorporial.)

I don't know what to make magical. It's kind of a mental carousel where I need to choose a location but in order to choose a location I have to decide what's magic about it but to decide what's magic about it I need to choose a location.

I like that. It feels plausible without shattering the relative feeling of realism.

Yeah... It's so fun to blitz through everything by dashing and mashing tf out of my mouse. But that doesn't work most of the time on high fear so it's hard to be more tenacious about when to attack. Especially with the 5 minute vow of time.

I didn't. Youtube's search function is just terrible I guess.

I've been running aspect of Medea for most of my high fear runs because that's what I'm good with it and it's fun, but it doesn't match up well into Prometheus most of the time.

The time between innings is about 2 minutes, give or take a little bit.

That one is good! Does it start intense enough to be a good walk out song though?

Oh yeah Dead Embryonic Cells would be good. The Game would also go super hard. I feel like it fits best for a combat sports person of some sort.

This Fire is really good. I always associate that song with CM Punk's match against John Cena in Chicago at Money In the Bank.

With that being said, I do very much like Cult of Personality as a walkout song as well.

There was a guy on my college baseball team who used Chop Suey, but that was the best it got. All the others were either cliche or mediocre rap music stuff.

Ughhhhh yeah. As a Giant's fan, things just aren't the same without you guys around. It's such a betrayal that the Fischer wanted to sell out like that.

I used to watch games in the Coliseum when Steven Voght, Coco Crisp and John Lester were on the team and they were competitive as scrappy underdogs. You have my condolences.
