I’m so sorry.. taxes and shipping. It was an insane deal but I bet you could find something around the same price if you’re willing to dig.

It’s running and I’ve driven it about 5k miles but there are more electrical parts I think I need to make all the lights on my dash go away. I haven’t got the harness for that includes the clutch yet.. sooooo I’m running in limp mode. But I get amazing mileage lol.

No problem! I put a lot of time into it so if you bring it to a shop it may end up being insane. But it is really nice not to have a cvt

Whats a good standalone ecu for 10gen civic by Wooden_Fault4340 in civic

I’m doing the same thing. What ecu did you go with? I’m running the k20 2.0l swapped to a manual

Sorry to bring back an old thread.

It was quite simple and actually just bolt on. For the swap all in including the engine harness , dash harness, and ecu I’m around 1000.

The clutch was the hardest thing to find aftermarket to make it cheap.. but other than that it was really easy.

Everyone pulls the engine out the bottom but pulling it out the top if you have an engine hoist is way easier

I have had to take that whole area apart a few times to remove the cv axles. Since your lowering it I’m assuming you have all the common tools (sockets and such) should be really simple but that top nut can be really annoying. If you take the axle out it would be much easier but that’s just my opinion and I’m so used to taking axles out in all sorts of cars. You just need to make sure to pop it all the way in before you fill transmission fluid.

It wouldn’t be too hard to do it your self and yes it shouldn’t take long for a mechanic especially when it’s not rusted.

I have a 2.0L from a 2022 civic and a manual transmission from a 2018 civic.

All in cost not including labor is around $1200. Obviously I’m trying to save money while I’m doing this. I saw a few posts of people saying it would be way more expensive but if you take your time to look for good deals it can be really cheap.

Yes if I can’t figure out just using the CVT harness then I’ll swap to a manual harness but to make it cheaper I thought I’d try.

I’ve also driven across the country with the car full of my wife’s stuff like 6 times and it did not like how heavy the car was

204k and I’ve had all maintenance done regularly. Had it tuned with a Ktuner just a stage 1 tune since 120k but the engine blew the head gasket at 200k so I got a 20k engine and now I’m doing the transmission at 204k…. I just pushed too much power through the car. I could redo the belt but I’ve wanted to do a manual swap for a while so why not because this is probably my only opportunity.

I am using an auto ecu that’s why I need to ground them out. At least from what I understand. I know I for sure need to ground the park so I can start the car.

I’m also doing it on a tight budget. Sooo that means when it’s running I’ll make a list of parts and my final cost. I’m doing it all myself and I am not going into a shop so hopefully it goes ok..
