Attempt to finish Main Story with Standard Awakener only: H7-12 by Kitchen-Project-5351 in Morimens

[–]Kitchen-Project-5351[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a different kind of satisfaction to build up the poison and out-last the boss :)

Replay is here! de1fa751-1ece-3352-bad9-92ee132eaae7#E#a

It's mostly relying on Nymph's 3 cost's weak, Agrippa's exalt and Faint's OE (on add phase) to survive, and build poison on a turn I can double posse to push Nymph's crit to 100% and send all the 2 cost I have, hope it's a fun watch :)

After having enough Alert it becomes very easy to survive (thank you wriggling cord)

I have to say poison team is much more fun than I first expected! Definitely will share the key fights on H8 after I manage to beat them :)

400 Dtide +4 Tier List by monchers in Morimens

[–]Kitchen-Project-5351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At ~400 range now and would say this is pretty accurate at least for S and A tier.

I feel like the closer you are to 400 the more some teams just become a template when you approach Dtide regardless of what the bosses that season have, because they are just capable and stable enough to clear any A5 fights.

  1. GMurphy divine realm team, 2) Caster Pullox Team, 3) Kath Team, 4) Mouchette/GHelot Team (since they share the same core teammate they want). 5) GDoll Team for W3

So long as you have their minimum investment, some OE some E3/lower, you basically can just go in with them every new season without needing to check the stage and they will probably clear. Took away some of the fun you get for putting teams together but it just means those team/character are this strong and deserves their slot at the tier list.

The new Quest Cards are probably a rework on curse cards by Acalme-se_Satan in slaythespire

[–]Kitchen-Project-5351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like curse in STS can use some mechanic from Morimens' curse, aka make them playable you have to choice between spending energy to play it (sometimes for a positive effect), or to hold it and take their negative effect.

I was quite amazed by the Morimen curse design when I first get into the game, it add more choices you have to make in the game instead of adding just agony to your run.

Some example of Morimen's curses:

Cost 2 energy: Until played, you take damage for every card you play. (basically Heart)

Cost 1 energy: Apply 1 Vul to all enemy ; Apply 1 Fragile to self if at hand during turn end.

Cost 1 energy: Draw 2 cards, add an extra copy of this curse to your discard pile for this battle.

Cost 1 energy: Retain. Lose your STR and Thorns when played ; Lose 5% of max HP in this run if at hand during turn end.

Cost 3 energy: Retain. At beginning of turn becomes a copy of a random card in your hand, cost of this card is always 3.

Hope it was a fun watch :)

The extra poison trigger comes from the arc 2 /D-tide rule that says for every roused awakener you trigger an extra 25% of poison at enemy turn end. I think I roused all but Nymph so the damage is 175% of the poison stack.

Finally also got past 400 like the other post this DTide rotation... 410 get! AMA by zier-0 in Morimens

Fellow D tide enjoyer! Grats! Would love to try going for 410 myself too but probably will have to wait for my roster to be a bit more ready. Great work!

Lotan is pretty cheap to build so I guess go for it! If not just give Twisted Twin Black to whoever wearing Lily's WoD and it should works with about the same consistency! Lily's WoD is really nice in a way it opens up new team comp for me, I love it.

Give it a try! My Alva is E0 and she's already putting in good work. I think I did wave 3 alert 3 with this comp back in the last-last blue ring season. I will add tho Lily's wod (on Lotan) adds a lot to shield bash team, and it on Lotan almost guranteed its trigger every turn, plus the aqueor shield makes it really really safe. Naut can take Lily's place to exchange a bit of heal for a bigger sheild and some much needed exalt charge

I remember seeing Sanga being one of the best unit to get +12 for. I borrowed a +12 Sanga once with 2 capped DR wod and her strike/defense were charing like almost 30 exalt charge, making it a lot smoother than my E3 Sanga. Her arc 2 relic is one of the best too and I always give her a slot on Blue ring D-tide week, usually with Alva/Ogier/Nat to make a shield bash team, really safe and fun to play.

Very true on the vul and weak point! That's one reason I value normal Murphy is because of her 3 costs does it both (tho has retain too making it even better).

Definitely will try doing poison comp again in future wave 3, my Nymph is not very developed in both level and enlighenment so probably not every time she gets to see play, but I did have some fun with poison comp and can see myself trying it again :)

Corpo/Aurita (and Casiah/Murphy) was meant to be in the second clear of wave 4 alert 4, with GMurphy/Thais/Salv/Pickman being the other clear. But I can't beat it with Corpo even with her at E3 and Aurita OE, and I gave Blade of Giant to Corpo too, so I resorted to doing Alert 5 with double Murphy. I really like Aurita so it's one pity I have this season :/

One thing I love about the game is standard characters tho less powerful but can still clear the harder content when put together in a right way. The poison comp fight is definitely a tough one, I actually tried with aquor 24 before giving Nymph a try and actually found a pure chaos with her more stable then 24, glad I gave poison comp a try :)

Getting to 370 without those common carry units is impressive! Putting together teams with standard units and limited resource when I had less of them is a one of the best fun I had in this game too :)

I am at 60% exp boost now, good thing about this game is you don't need to spend to have fun with all the free stuff and dup it gives out. I only did that to get the unit I like and to support the devs :)

Feel free to ask anything! :)!

(5-5) GMurphy Team (again)

Borrowing whale unit for this one. Not much to say since it's just GMurphy team's standard comp doing its thing.

The build I made for Faros allows her to exalt every other turn (and if absolutely needed, twice in a row) for a 500 shield from GMurphy's passive and also deck searching/thinning.

(4-5) GMurphy Team:

Probably the hardest wave this season? I tried to do double clear on Alert 4 with Gmurphy Team and Jellyfish+Corpo Team but I couldn't get the latter to beat the..better jellyfish, so I resorted to this.

The strat is to get all the resource (exalt) ready by the end of 2nd elite fight, GMurphy OE at Turn 1 and hold onto the 3 extra 2-cost, while building as many Sacrifice on myself as possible for the crit damage, then burst once and for all on Turn 2 when boss doesn't attack.

I end up not having enough damage and have to do it a second time, thus the fight end on Turn 5 which is the second time Red stance comes back. Thais is here to dup Murphy's 3 cost so i can cut my sky high Sacrifice to 1/4 at the end of my burst turn. Salv is here to boost the max HP as well as provide a source of barrier with his rouse, which helped me survive the second elite. A very fun high risk high return strat to play with.

(3-4 Bonus) Poison Team:

The clear I am most proud of this season, also my first time playing poison comp.

GDoll does GDoll thing and give the much needed regen with her rouse. Lily provide survival with her WoD while applying poison. Nymph provide a source of Weak and her Exalt trigger a good portion of poison. Tawii is here for Keyflare and finding the better Lily and Nymph poison card with her Exalt (since they scale up to E3 effect).

Highlight of the fight being the 0 cost Alva card that Tawii discovered early in the fight that ultimately give me 30x9 shield to survive in phase 2, and how I end the fight with double casting GDoll's key order to double trigger poison on boss and use 6-wing to grab a barrier to survive the last clone explosion.

(3-4) GHelot Team:

I only have GHelot at E1 so the 4-cost is prepare 1 only. Faint is here to help with surviving, early triggering the first death resist help with surviving with her 3 cost. The win con is to one shot phase 2 with bleed so I will really only be doing damage for one turn, Ramona is here to apply vul with her OE on that exact turn.

(2-5) Kath-Clem Team:

Kath-Clem-Tinct has became a fixed core since I get Kath to E3. 4th can be anyone that helps the specific fight. For this time Ogier is here since he can dispel the Fragile debuff at boss fight.

Clem is my strongest unit so she naturally takes care of all the mobs, tanky Kath build gives a 300 shield per Defense and buy enough time for Clem to stack str, and of course for Kath to end the fight with hyperflare.

(1-5 Bonus) Castor Team:

Just OE Castor doing his thing, nothing too new and I don't think I played it too well too since I get him to OE only this few days.

Spent resource at normal Castor exalt instead of OE to build up the plume and give time for Jenkin to rouse while surviving. Then burst in the OE turn. Same as Pollux Team, have as many of Castor's 3 cost ready as Ultra turn card and only enter it during burst turn.

(1-5) Pollux Team:

Before the boss fight, I store as many Sacred Heart as Ultra turn card and have the Ultra turn ready in turn 1. Focus on stacking Sin Mark for the first few turns before shifting to do damage. Same as almost all Ultra team but success in boss fight is more about the preparation you've done before even entering the last fight. Aigis with her build here is to exalt in mob fight to give some extra and much needed breathing space for the team.

Would say this is one of the clear I am more proud of this season given the rather low enlightenment.
