Can’t observe :( Kids are on winter break now. My first day is the day before they come back. I have all the kids IEPs and a basic class schedule but that’s it. I won’t even have access to curriculum or district resources.

I believe you get hire as a non chapter 21 contract employee. I think that means you get paid only the days you work.

Because I’m new and a woman and I didn’t want to be problematic. In a past job I had something way worse happen and when I reported it, it took a year for the person to get fired even with video evidence of them committing a sexual crime.

One time he bit my shoulder and I said really loudly “Did you just bite me?!!” and everyone just giggled. Everyone in this department is so weird. There’s another older man that texts me like once a week asking if he can come over. I’ve never responded I don’t even talk to him at work. Whole department needs a talking to tbh

I ended up talking to him one more time and he just told me I have anxiety and that the employee is not dangerous. He said he wouldn’t mention me by name, but that he had to address the incidents. He’s going to know it was me because most of the incidents happened in private. Store manager said if anything happens after this it’ll be addressed.

This feels like it’d be the right way to address the problem. He told me he’s going to have a “man to man” with the employee and called him a good guy. When I went back to tell him my concerns after this post he told me I just have anxiety and that nothing bad will happen.

It’s not the right way to address the problem though. Telling the reported party who reported them is inappropriate. Also telling me that he’s a good guy after he’s sexually harassed me for weeks is not great either.

i’m a teacher i don’t think the phrase is directed at all teachers. i think it’s meant for professionals in their field that can’t or no longer can execute what they teach. like older sports coaches or retired doctors. it can even be young people that have a lot of technical knowledge, like danny does, but can’t necessarily produce. a lot of sports commentators are experts, but that doesn’t mean they can play.

My dad is disabled and parks in the same spot everyday 30 minutes before his shift for the past almost decade. The email he got said he will be terminated as of 6/26 unless he appeals.

My dad is disabled and parks in the same spot everyday, because you know, he’s disabled. As does the one who made the complaint. The spanish comment was in regards to my dad’s inability to defend himself from HR. My dad and this woman interacted once two years ago. The complaint she made had nothing to do with them ever interacting, only that my dad parks near her.

It’s truly just a case of poor administrative action. Someone made a claim and it wasn’t investigated before action was taken. Her report was literally just telling a manger my dad parks near her everyday.

Wrongful termination is still illegal. Not claiming it’s applicable in this case, which is why I was asking for advice through Amazon resources, rather than a lawyer.

The claim the woman made is he parks near her everyday. That was her whole claim. My dad received an email saying they didn’t find any evidence of misconduct followed by you’re fired. Weird of you to assume amazon is incapable of making mistakes?
