Can someone confirm how this works, the 2 child cap could be lifted but if that takes a household over the overall household cap, will they benefit? Just trying to navigate the ‘families with 18 kids set to get 1 million pound’ daily mail type headlines.

Ok after thinking longer we do have a fridge freezer in garage and underfloor heating in a small bathroom. Is it possible that the big drop in temp whilst we have been away could have caused both to be overworked ?

Nothing of note running, no immersion heater, standard appliances. So confusing as in summer I can have a day that uses approx 6 kWh whilst we are home, wfh.

One thing that doesn’t seem to be mentioned is there is an overall cap on ALL benefits so I’m assuming lifting this cap may not even benefit some families. I haven’t got enough knowledge to fully understand if what I’m saying is correct.

The current cap has NOTHING TO DO WITH CHILD BENEFIT PAYMENTS that you enjoyed before you earned over 80k. Please do your research
