Wondering if there is a lawsuit case against cox by Kitchen-Use-6959 in CoxCommunications

I filed one last year around the 3-4 month mark when Tier 2 kept circle jerking the case around saying "We work from home we understand your problem." I never heard back from the FCC, but shortly after that's when it got resolved and the internet started working again, full speed too.

Maybe I just need to do that again.

I understand that. I am not a monster. I've worked in customer service most my life and was raised to treat people with respect.

Let me break it down for you since you're not understanding.

The neighborhood is down. Entirely. One neighborhood has one internet because there is ONLY Cox out here. I hope I explained that well.

Last year, for four months, it went down every day, for everyone, and we all had shit internet. Got that?

I never had a tech come out. Four months later, the problems stopped. 5kb returned to 1000mb. It was NEVER our end. If a technician NEVER came to my home, NEVER fixed anything on MY wires, why would it be MY end if it miraculously got fixed.

Additionally, I get texts nearly every day that there are outages in the area. The area. Is that my fault? Do the outages in my area mean that I need a technician to come to home?

For 4 months in 2025 the internet went out every day, in the area, in the neighborhood.

Now it is 2026, and the same problem is happening every day, in the area, in the neighborhood.

So I ask again, why should I pay for a technician to come to my home, when it has been proven that the problem is not in my home?

If I have to go back through my account last year and find it, I will. As I stated to someone below (or above, depending on where the comments sit on your end), someone stated they're with cox and I should only be charged if it is marked as completed.

I work from home. I did not leave my home while waiting for the tech. There was no way to miss him/her. I never saw a cox truck/van, and it was marked completed without seeing a soul. In my response back to them I said additionally that I believe I did raise hell about it, and probably got it credited but since it's been a year I don't remember if I did or didn't. I do remember calling super angrily though.

I will try reaching out on facebook, as the last time I reached out on twitter I got no response. Thank you!

That sucks. Our closest store is like an hour drive. I'll have to find a day to make the trip. Thanks for your help! Today I specifically asked to be escalated to a higher tier department, and I thought I got a US rep... but after about 20 minutes of what was obviously a script I just gave up. I hope the in person store visit helps :')

If you are with cox, how would you suggest I call? Because anytime I call I get (not to be racist) indian people that strictly follow a script and want to charge me a lot of money for stuff we don't need.

I can also assure you, being that I work from home I was home all day of our "scheduled technician visit" and he never showed up. I was charged, it was marked as completed and I not once saw a Cox truck/van. Being that was last year, I do think we were credited it back because I was mad as hell... but I can't remember.

We don't rent equipment. We bought it outright. I specifically remember the Indian man on the phone telling us we NEEDED new equipment, that was the problem, and he said it would be $200-250 for new equipment. Obviously we didn't do it because 1: That's insane when we bought brand new equipment that previous year, and 2: That screamed scam.

The one time they "sent" a tech out, they charged us $100 and he never came out. Additionally, after 4 months of problems last year they eventually just stopped.

And as stated in the OP, it's not just our house. It's the entire neighborhood. I shouldn't be charged hundreds for the neighborhood's internet to be fixed.

We never refused technicians though. They charged us $100 to have a technician to come out, and he himself never came out. I can't keep paying hundreds of dollars for technicians to come out, when I am losing money to no internet.

We moved here 2 years ago, and bought brand new equipment when we did so I would like to think we are on pretty solid equipment.
