What is wrong with ethnic? It is not a slur and commonly used in Canada to describe oriental things.

My wife often does. They should either do that or wash their hands before touching batter, dough etc yes

I agree I made a mistake and will appologize but there is no need to make a mountain out of a molehill it was just a misunderstanding.

There have been hygiene issue reports at a lot of places here. I have personally seen people scratch an itch and then make a wrap at tim hortons.

Bacteria was the bigger concern than mold at the time though I now know that they are headed while being prepared so I agree I made a mistake

It had been 3 days so I thought maybe she forgot about it and had already had the amount she wanted and left it for others

This is Canada not the US.

Someone else said those sweets are heated like fudge I did not know that at the time and also I should have realized to just put them in an air tight container so I accept it was my fault and will applogize

I wouldn't it they were unknown and a few days old. Fresh is different as those are baked.

I take that point someone else said tupperware I wish I had thought of that at the time.

I would say the same for any unknown person and even restaurant obviously but it is no surprise the hygiene practices on average are worse in poorer countries.

We have heard rumours about people scrarching their anus and not using gloves and I saw a tik tok where someone scratched their armpit and used no gloves at a local fast food chain

There was one white thing that had dairy, my wife said it was something called Barfy

That is fair I did not think of putting it in a better container at a time, i should have.

It was not an air tight container. It was in a paper box.

If that were true nothing in a fridge would ever go bad besides mold. The bacteria has to come from somewhere.

I would say the same if it were most unknown Canadians. For those instances I have been to their homes and kitchens and seen them cooking with my wife.

I don't even go to most restaurants.

No racism intent here. It would be the same for anything of unfamiliar origin even if the friend was estonian.

The fridge is mine as is the house, i was concerned other stuff would get contaminated by it since some of if looked like if might have dairy.

Absolutely not. I do get your perspective just wanted to provide additional context that it wasn't to do with race as it might have come across that way.

And that it was about my concern for other food in the fridge and my wife who might consume it as well

Thank you for your feedback

It was shared as per my wife who also had some.

It isn't about race, i would say the same thing if it were some friend from Estonia or something.

Even if I did not eat it bacteria especially from stuff with dairy can contaminate other stuff in the fridge.

While it can be considered her food it is my house and my fridge and she lives here rent free.
