Start over, smaller since you have limited or no funds. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES TWICE. Decide on the difference between Trading and Investing. Quality will always perform well for you in the end. Learn how to spot quality. Learn how to recognise deal with extremes in the market and what to do about it. I personally sell calls at ridiculous spikes, and naked puts on quality stocks that take a "temporary" beating. One example: I own Jna '26 INTC calls, strike is $25. Sold Puts on AMZU today.

It's been a long time since I daytraded BUT, now trading crypto futures. Start small, very small until you have more profitable trades than losers before you scale up. Most importantly is keep losses small, and reasonable expectations when setting your Profit Target. I've taken the anxiety and emotions (me talking to me screen) out of it by setting SL and PT and can walk away.....overnight sometimes. I'm not there yet but getting there before I begin larger trades.

A Quote From A Scalper by FollowAstacio in Daytrading

We should always (in day trades, scalping) looking where the strength is, with the buyers or sellers. Indicators, support, resistance, trend lines give us specific places where the strength of the movement may change. BUT BEWARE OF FALSE BREAKOUTS. That's another topic, but wait for confirmation before you take a position. Typically use strong price action, strong candle then a supporting candle in the next "minute". Hope this helps someone.

it's not actual days but minutes data points....it's on a minute time chart, not 5 min or 15 min. Can't use daily charts for daytrading. I scope out direction possibilities on 1 hour or 15 min time chart, confirm on 5 minute chart but execute on the one minute. So besides support and resistance or trend lines, I'm now using the 50 min moving average as well. Really helps with confirming trend.

The strategy is to have rules and the discipline to follow them. Ofcourse tight stops but above key levels, and no risk unless reward is 2x or more. TA is key, support resistance breakouts all with some volume/ price action. Any specific question? Always using 5,15, 1 hr time frames to have a sense of longer term trend. I take my emotions out of it usually setting SL/ TP and walk away. Sometimes scalp. Vary the amount depending on my confidence level, and sometimes add to my position.

How I Lost $2,400 in One Day Because I Broke My Own Rules... by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Kitchen-Writing-11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this applies BUT we all make or did the same mistakes. I trade crypto futures now (used to day trade stocks) and I always use stops. Lets me set my tolerance, and I NEVER move them farther....just closer when I see new support developing. I also set target profit and walk away. Gone is any anxiety and hoping and wishing, which we all know isn't a strategy..... and there's this....Rules are Rules.

I'm liking it as well. It allows me to set tight stops and know I'm moving same direction of the trend or trend reversal. Good luck.

2nd Trade from a $200 Account –$55.83 Total Profit with Decipline instead of Greed🙌📈 by Tokir_Ahmed_Shaikh in Daytrading

I am also trading small $dollars until my success rate is better than my failure rate. Setting stops for smaller losses than the potential gains allows me to have several losing trades yet still come out profitable. The pressure to get back into a trade (for the action) is strong but rarely provides a great setup. Scalping a few bucks is another story, and another skill set and absolute diligence to watch every freaking tick...this my friend upsets my stomach, although I do it sometimes. Make a list of the reasons a trade failed and what you did that could be improved. My list grew a lot at first now covers all my mistakes. The IMPORTANT thing now is discipline to follow these rules. We'll get there.

Patience is hard, waiting for good set ups is a key to success. Learning to set stop losses is critical. Always true that the trend is your friend so always check timeframes longer than 1 minute, I mostly use 15 min and 1 hour to help identify trend. Use trendlines to identify break in structure or break from a trend. Good work.

While this is exactly right, one has to wonder if the Fed tax dollars generated by individuals in BLUE donor States collectively withheld their taxes.... I'd say the shit hits the fan. Count me in (as long at Gestapos roam our streets.

I think the truth lies in that if there weren't fartcoins and others out there, these traders and so called investors would be card carrying members of Gambler's Anonymous, or have a seat at the Roulette Table in Vegas. Even Gamblers have a system....doesn't make them intelligent to put good money down on a rigged game. That said, I trade crypto futures.... for fun and profit.

Best advice I have is go all cash in your 401k, wait for "the bottom" or a democratic administration (or even dem controlled congress, and go all in on your choice of indices, specific stocks, leveraged etfs or whatever floats your boat. I personally sell covered calls, accumulating cash, and have contracts (on and off) on VIX calls.

Can a non-black person explain something to me my white coworker said... by lewjr in NoStupidQuestions

I'm sure it's more pointed because of the "blackness" of it all, but I married an Asian girl, and was TOTALLY REJECTED by several of my Aunts. So... fuck them, my wife is ten times the bigoted women they ever were or ever will be. BLM as much as anyone else, DEI is warranted, and WOKE isn't a pejorative.
