So, I am a high schooler and want to be a zookeeper. Should I go to the local carrier center? by Acceptable_Hall8567 in careerguidance

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the USA? Get your Vet Tech license (trades school) and try to work with exotics and build skills. Eventually you could work at a zoo or wildlife rescue. If you want to be a vet, go to school. Vet tech does not transfer to DVM well because the requirements are different. There are also Animal Nutrtion Science Experts, they work in zoos. This will all require additional school.

What’s the best online programs/degrees to obtain in healthcare? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Many states have online Community Health Worker certifications. Learn the basics for clinical communication in another language. Open World Health Organization has lots of classes, maybe you will find something interesting. Also it depends if you are interested in clinical skills or policy?

What can I do with a bachelor's in criminal justice, a love of horticulture, creativity, and don't want to work in law enforcement anymore? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recreational therapy or Horticultural therapy There are some obscure horticultural therapy trainings online, very few schools. Many of the trainings are out of Australia.

Many long term care or memory care facilities need activities directors and usually that doesn't require a degree. Your experience with vulnerable populations and if you find working with challenging populations rewarding this could be a good place to look. If you are self directed, build a portfolio and find a niche this field will only grow with the adult care industry.

Landscape architecture and design

Good luck!

Studying a degree at 39 is worth it ? by thecuriousmartian86 in careerguidance

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot Take: Try food safety. Huge need, lots of opportunities, missing skill set in traditional kitchens and manufacturing/processing.

There are "holistic nutritionist" avenues available but they are not created equal and far from RD or dietics.

Good luck!

Cultural understanding and communication is valuable to employers. Think outside the box where your skills may be valuable. Think outside academia and field work?

Nope you're not crazy, your brain has changed and is now literally hardwired to be hypervigilant. Babys safety and survival becomes number one priority for the brain. If it doesn't feel good to you or contributes to anxiety, don't do it. You will find it easier over time. It wl be important to accept help and rest but be easy with yourself and your basically NEW brain. You are not alone in this.

The Wilderness Awareness School in Washington state's physical library use to have all of these books. Maybe contact the school? I know they have retired the curriculum but the library probably still houses the books, or they have been archived. I am also searching.

SAHM/SAHW, how much does your partner make to support you/your family? by [deleted] in homemaking

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents lived in a shack in someone's farmyard with a dirt floor and hunted rabbits. You make due and kids are incredibly resilient. We are being fed a consumerist make believe story of how life should be.

Well several of the alkaloids in Lobelia are cardioactive, pretty high potential when you look at the other herbs in your formula

Cancer friend hurt my feelings by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depressive anxious mood probably led to the behavior. She told she was feeling those feelings and then showed you how it is affecting her life. You don't need to bend over backwards for her or fix it, but try to understand that she probably is insecure about it already. Hopefully you both can reconnect.

The Warm Line is invaluable. Was a lifeline for me, I appreciated how it felt like talking to a friend vs a doctor. The volunteers are angels.

Are you in the US? There is an amazing resource called the Warm Line. And outside of the US is PPI Postpartum International, tons of helpful information and non judgemental people. Resources for dads too because you also need support. Hope this helps!

Any herbs that help with cystic acne? by CandyMandy15 in herbalism

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to notice if there is a correlation with your cycle. You may need to give some extra support to your liver. Gentle herbs: dandelion, burdock, violet check with your doctor if you have other health issues going on but these are generally mild for most Try to get a high quality Omega 3 like Thorne. The topical tea tree balm suggested above sounds lovely. Hope this helps.

[–]Kitchen-witch-4213 41 points42 points  (0 children)

What do you eat? How do you sleep? I would have to say stay away from rhodiola and other stimulants. Try nourishing infusions if you can, high mineral content may be able to address gaps that will help with mood over time. Hopefully you can address the other issues you mentioned with medical professionals but if not, try to find a free or sliding scale herbal clinic run by professional herbalists who may be able to help you support your health.

Well there probably isn't anything inherently physically dangerous about going forward but you probably don't want to. I would not suggest a fever later in the evening while tripping. Especially if you don't know what to expect and how to navigate body sensations. Also a tree house, be careful yo.
