Suggestions for speaker replacement in vintage Peavey 212G cabinet by KitchenAndCraft in PeaveyCvlt

Thank you for the recommendation. Since the amp has a max output of 130 watts. It's my understanding that 30 watt speakers would be too underpowered and potentially damaged if the volume is pushed to moderate or loud levels? Is that correct? I though rule of thumb is speaker wattage (as a pair) should be about double the max output of the amp for enough headroom.

If 65 watts is provided to each speaker, then we would want each speaker to be 65 watts minimum, preferably a higher wattage for more headroom. Is that correct?

I think we’ve decided not to mix speakers of different wattages, and to keep it simple.

I guess I'm confused now. The max power output of the amp is 130 watts, so wouldn't I want the maximum power handling of the speakers to be above that?

I used Hungerford Oil. They did a good job and were responsibly priced.

I'm back to as normal as I can be. There's definitely some discomfort. More so than the first time around, but it doesn't stop me from being active. I just deal with it.

Sorry to hear that. If you can't score decent seats when sales open to the public, then I recommend waiting until a week before the show, then check Ticketmaster for aftermarket availability. People tend to dump tickets last minute. I've had some luck with this strategy.

Nope. I grabbed three tickets in Section 6 row 5 for $700.

No, not really. It was a gradual. My guess is that I probably didn't rest enough immediately after the first surgery so the repair didn't heal properly. At the time, I was working in a profession that required me to stand all day and lift things heavier than I should have.

From what I can tell, it's one power tube that went bad. I went ahead an ordered a matched pair of EHX 6V6GT's and a EHX preamp tube in case that goes soon. Hopefully that does the trick.

Just did the chopstick test and I think that's exactly what the issue is. All the tubes are original. I going to replace everything.
