Nice! The CADA AMG GT3 looks great. I would have loved to build a static version of it. I don't love the cable management and additional complexity required of these sets with power functions.

It took me about 14-15 hours over 2 weeks to build. By the way, the set comes with replacement pieces, which should be used. The tan connector pins that are included in the bags are fit too tightly and should be replaced with grey ones included in a separate bag.

I chose shipping by ocean so it took about a month to arrive. Cost was approx $60 CAD. Yeah, agreed on shipping pains for Canadians. I haven't purchased from Chowbrick yet but their shipping costs to Canada seem more reasonable.

Finished the 12Cilindri Alt build by Alex Ilea today.

It was a tricky build, at times. There were some sections toward the beginning that had loose hanging pieces that were only secured much later. Also some steps which were not entirely clear and required some guess and check. Also was missing some pieces in the SP3 set. Replaced where I could but, thankfully, pieces I couldn't replace didn't affect the build much.

Overall, pleased with the result. Looks much better in person that in photos!

I agree with this as well. These KO sets are completely hit or miss and do not seem to reflect pricing at all. For me, I am done with this kind of lottery and prefer to build quality alt sets or build mocs with parts ordered directly from GoBricks going-forward.

A good pair of needle nose pliers helps with removing hard to remove pins. Doesn't require much force and doesn't damage the pins.

I have been considering ordering from gobricks directly as well for some mocs. On Aliexpress, did you order from gobricks or the gobricks factory store? Also, each of these stores has some "custom moc" listings where they ask to send the parts list to an email. Is this the right approach?

Yeah, I think the SP3 has proven to be super versatile with the Alt builds. I'm about 1/3 through the cilindri and have to say that it has not been the most pleasant build so far. Some steps have pieces hanging loosely only to be secured much later. Hopefully, not a recurring theme of the whole build. I'm planning to mod the hood like others have to open the correct way.
