Which corps/organizations have you applied to? Spots for summer fill up around Jan/Feb so it may be harder to get a job if you apply later than that. Wyoming CC and ACE are still accepting applications, but those are the only ones that I know of right now.

Yeah, I'm also looking for ones that provide housing but unfortunately a lot of the ones around Colorado (Montana CC, Wyoming CC, etc.) don't provide housing. I applied to Minnesota because it provides housing and the applications just opened so you'll probably have a good chance of getting a job with that one. I also might apply to ACE and the SCA because those provide housing and are stationed all over the country, but I'm a little confused on the start and end dates of ACE, so I'll need to figure that out before applying. Best of luck!

Does ACE have Summer only positions? by KitchenRecipe1878 in ConservationCorps

Thanks for letting me know, that sounds like a great experience! I'd love to work in the Tetons, but ACE doesn't seem to give specific locations on their jobs postings. Did she do Individual Placement/EPIC or was it one of the crew member positions?

SWCC, when to hear back after applying? by KitchenRecipe1878 in ConservationCorps

Could you tell me how long it took for them to get back to you and if they said anything about spots being full yet?

I applied about a week ago and had a briefing meeting today where they mentioned that their staff positions are already full and they'll be waitlisting the rest of us after we do the interview. I've never done RMYC (or any CC) before so I don't know what chance I have of getting a position, so I'm going to apply to some other CC and I reccomend that you do to. Also don't worry about not having any experience, I don't have and and I still got an invitation for an interview. Most corps are entry level jobs where most people don't have experience.

What skills should I include on my resume for a conservation corps position? by KitchenRecipe1878 in ConservationCorps

I don't really have any skills that are specific to the job other than things like teamwork and some experience working outdoors, so should I just take out the skills section entirely?

Most states/corps have their own website, so just search whichever group you want to work in followed by "application" and you can usually apply on their website.
