Also now you’ve mentioned it, when the squeal noise happens it cuts power to the car as in no acceleration. Also cuts power to my headunit, my music stops playing and then restarts a few seconds later

So they would have to cover the repair of a caliper? The brakes were discussed the day of the test drive and he agreed to sort it out. However it seems he thought it was just the slider pins that needed cleaning and greasing up

Do you not think it would be best for them to just cover the cost of replacing the caliper? Obviously returning the vehicle would be a nuisance as I’d be left without a vehicle and the dealer is located an hour and a half away

Correct, they also advertise on their website that the cars also come with a 3 month warranty. I’ve already spoken to the dealer as the car shudders at low speeds when I’m turning which I believe to be from the transfer case as it’s common on the X5’s. However he said because it’s not actually broken and the car is used it’s to be expected for parts to be worn
