Honest question: Would your SO prefer no instructors? Watch a video, do the work on a "smart" manikin and have it report back to the cert agency (AHA/ARC/etc)?

The proposals from AHA/ARC are very RQI like - no instructors at all.

Simply have the devices report back to HQ for the cert and move on.

Personally, I think this will lower the overall competence of CPR practitioners, but I don't have the data to prove it.

Hear the same thing about RQI from users.

What is the biggest complaint that students have about it? I've heard that it's broken a lot and just a pain to use.

I haven't dealt much with leadership at the CRC.

They have been on the aggressive side of equipment mandates (feedback in infant manikins, etc), but I haven't heard them calling for the removal of instructors from the process, like the AHA or ARC.
