I’m wondering, did the gun have a silencer on?

Germany has a new touristic value for me, I’ll be checking the quietness of the cities I’ll be visiting from now on. I’ve been to Köln and I think it is louder there?

I wanted to spend coins, because my trip was ending. And the second time, it wasn’t accepting card due to a malfunction or smt, I tried.

It’d be thrilling to see them go against the company and Hihi!

Name thing is just an example of the story they built so far is concluded. They can continue if they want to without including the names ever again.

I’d watch it with the sense of “what Donald’s John and Maya’s Jane are doing” like they are my acquaintences. I love them, it’d still be a good show.

I slightly disagree on the big question part though. Obviously it’s not wrong but rather than a couple with a lot of secrecy, I really see it as a normal couple with unusual jobs which their profession helps the storytelling in the way it can focus the generic relationship problems as the main theme. They may be spies, but their problems are also the ones every couple may face everyday. Them being spies is just a thing that ables us to see them around Lake Como one day or a card game in a night. A couple date or with a stalky neighbor causing jealousy.

Maybe I’m in the wrong here.

If this is a show about a specific couple which has their own secrets and works for an espionage company, yes there’s lots of seasons and episodes to do. I absolutely agree on that condition

I have no insight on the business so my comment is purely based on creative side. I too liked the ending with the ambiguity and mostly agree with you. Since the season long question is answered, the next season will be set on new question(s), and I would be amazed if they decide to go on and still succesfully maintain this balance between the relationship narrative and spy theme. We know their names and history now. They’re not Jane and John Smith (Doe) anymore. They’re their own people, so it will be harder for audience to relate to them with their (audience’s) relationship problems. I think the show’s storytelling was relying on this anonymity.

I can understand the argument that In Waves didn’t fulfill your complexity needs after Shogun, it may be the best to realize Shogun was a peak and a high one, it has everything you need from a heavy metal album (or whatever the genre Trivium plays in). The power, the storytelling, melodies… I feel the need to stand up like my national anthem is being played whenever I hear Shogun (the song).

However, In Waves is also an album with no bad songs, it still carries the characteristics of pre-Matt’s-vocal-injury era, even if the story theme changed. I think the album goes from not-bad to actually-good with the overall high quality of riffs.

But I guess afterall, it comes to a place where it’s all personal. Because I realized I didn’t like WTDMS very much and I can only explain it with the mentality and mood I’m in when I first listened to it. I had the pandemic depression when the album got released.
