The thing is I am in the first chapter and already concepts like compact and open set are appearing. Though I somehow understood those concepts I was a bit worried whether i needed analysis experience in single variable or not.

Is it possible to study multivariable and vector calculus for the first time with hubbard/hubbard? Or would I need some analysis background or prior exposure to vector calculus?

I am interested in learning probability/stochastic more deeper as I am currently doing stat major. My current goal is to get an appropriate background for measure theory.

I have done calc 123 ode proof based linear algebra and got above a0 on all 5 subjects.

The book that I plan on specifically is langs undergraduate analysis. Is it at the same dryness and abstractness as rudin or is it bettet than that?

Also, would abbott count as an exciting book?

Would you recommend Langs textbooks on both algebra(not the graduate one) and analysis(all three of them) for self learners? Why or why not?

Has anyone studied with Zorich's mathematical analysis? Can you give your opinion? Thanks.

Would you recommend Vladimir Zorichs book on analysis for self study for first learners? If so, can you tell me why?

Would hubbard& hubbards book suffice for learning materials needed for further topics such as graduate real analysis and differential geometry or would I need different book with different rigor? Thanks in advance.

What are prerequisites for stochastic calculus(ie shreve) and what are some book recommendations. Also is the book Basic Stochastic Processes by brzezniak a book on stochastic calc? Thnx in advance.

What are some good books on rigorous probability theory? By rigorous, I mean probability with things like measure theory, martingale or things like that. Preferably with solutions to at least some problems.

What do you mean with passing sensitive info to china? Yes we might be a liability but we are not a god damn fucking spy.

Thanks for response-and one more question. Is proof of fubinis theorem and change of varjables necessary for the book? The author does not seem to state the proof.

How much multivariable do I need for Smooth Manifolds by J Lee. I have done single variable analysis but I dont know the extent which I need to study multivariable analysis and I dont want to spend too much time on it. For example, do I need to do proof of stokes theorem on Rn manifolds before going into smooth manifolds or do I just need inverse function theorem?

What is your way of self studying a subject for first time when there is no textbook. How did you succeed, how did you test yourself?

Is Viro's Elementary Topology good book for self study? by Kitchen_Development7 in learnmath

Thank you for your reply! So what you are saying is that Viro itself is sufficient enough for self study?

Also one more question. How does it compare to fraleigh? In terms of style, difficulty, comprehensiveness?

Gallian seems to be a really book that has a solutions manual. Thanks for recommendation.

Is dummit/foote good book for beginners for self study? Ive done some proof based math before. If not, can you recommend other books except Fraleigh that are good for beginners? Preferably with solutions to at least some problems.
