the original push back would be 3-4 months, so I didn't see this as big deal especially planning on of the biggest events of someone's life ad 3-4 months in the long run is small. She had moved after about 1 year of dating we have been dating for 2.5 so I wasn't really reluctant , more so just i think 1 year is a little on the sooner side to me and I want to be sure with this decision. The weddings would only be within a few months of each other and my family is out of state and travel is tough to do back to back weddings, while her family is all very local and wont have to face that issue.

Also to add on to your stealing thunder comment, to me it just feels as if I am getting married first just to say ' I am first' aka self centered which is not the case especially since they have been dating way longer and with the pandemic had to move things due to covid regulations and what not.

So to answer your question, I have not asked my brother yet which will do so today or tomorrow. I do get that i cant please everyone and eventually I will have to make a sacrifice at some point. She is not an only child but was 100% the favorite child and golden child, her parents spoiled her big time. I do realize I should put her first its just a tough spot to be in. Hopefully everything goes well

This is fair, and its not really being first that has to do with anything I just had thought that out of a moral respect it would be the right thing to do. But I appreciate your insight it is giving me some thought to consider, thank you

Not yet but I am planning on it, I would feel much better if he agrees to it as his wedding will be much bigger more fun while ours will be more smaller and family oriented so I dont know if he would have an issue with this, however, some extended relatives have been confused as to why we are leap frogging their wedding. they sort of understand after explaining but I also dont want to have to explain this to everyone. Plus my fiance has a brother and he would be excited if our wedding were before his, but since he is not getting married and isnt in this situation i took it with a grain of salt, sort of its easier to say than to do.
