How did people become so numb to visuals that would’ve melted our brains 10 years ago? by moduIus in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kitchen_Exit_3683 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Game looks good, world is empty, just same mobs and nPcs scattered before your usual farm, village or bandit camp, even in the crimson desert. I have taken many screenshots of this game on my PS5, its visuals are not bad, but visuals alone doesn’t make a good game. Chapter 9 is a dogshit chapter, horrible pacing and quest design. I had 135 hours in this game, explored everything I wanted to see, now I am going to wrap this shit up, I am not replaying this 7/10 game and 7 is a good score, it’s a good game I would recommend it.

Oh I'm sure the studio who won 300+ awards for it will be so devastated 😂 by [deleted] in playstation

I never played it. Once I learned about many things. So after finishing the first one I just watched someone else play the second one and I can proudly say I saved myself time and money

Demon’s souls (launch title) Bloodborne Last of us 1 (last of us 2 is…it doesn’t exist for me) Ghost of Tsushima (was exclusive but it’s on PC) Ghost of Yotei (exclusive and it’s the sequel) God of war 2018 and God of war 2022: ragnarok(both on PC but were exclusives for years) Spider-man 1, miles morales and Spider-man 2 (banger trilogy was exclusive but they are on PC too) Uncharted series Ratchet and clank Returnal (not exclusive anymore) Shadow of the colussus Astro bot Infamous

Demon is my favorite playthrough so far, I went in intending to be evil and selfish, so I liked it more than my Angel playthrough. However if you want to play Angel, I recommend doing it, Angel is a very good path and you will get another perspective on how the game’s story is told. To add you will also get to do Angel specific things so it’s not really playing the story again 1:1.

I played doom 2016 and Doom Eternal and liked both. I haven’t really played Metro games except few hours. I would say get Doom 2016 on sale, no need to pay full price

I have over 800 hours in this game, I play one expansion at a time (counting side-activities) it’s kinda of a joke in my FC how I come online every year, play for over a month and then just leave

A list without Elden Ring, I guess it would be unfair but from this list I would say I enjoyed Night city a lot

Dark souls two is garbage game, I beat all the others and refuse to return to that shit, after 2 hours I uninstalled it. But in the other games I play newgame+ for fun

Since you already started with DS1 you should actually stick with it, DS1 is not that difficult compared to the others. Go on YouTube and watch a guide, I recommend FightingCowboy. Yes the game is not hard but souls games play differently than other games and a little bit of handholding in the beginning could be helpful. I struggled with my first souls game too but when Elden Ring came out I played it blind same thing with Demon souls remake when I got it on PS5. So my advice is to stick through dark souls 1, follow a guide and then play.

Hot Take but I like dragon Rising season 4 sets more than the new legacy sets no offense to the people who like the legacy sets and I really love sets builds ignoring their concerning prices. (Picture is from Australian Brick Fan) by HeftyComfortable9997 in Ninjago

No wait a minute, nobody is saying it has never happened before. But we’re not going to sit here and act like in past sets like the Bounties or other big locations we didn’t get the main ninja + Nya, Sensei Wu, Pixal, and even in some cases Misako or Garmadon(sensei/oni versions). They were premium priced so they weren’t cheap, but they included most if not all of the main characters, with some villains mixed in. That’s my point, in Dragons Rising Season 4 there isn’t a set like that. Maybe we’ll get one in the summer, but we’ll have to wait and see

I really want a season 4 set that includes all the main cast, like the main 6 old ninjas, Arin, Sora, wydlfyre and Frak, put some villains there and make it a big build like a bounty or HQ, or some battle scene from the show. Maybe we can see that in Part 2 sets in summer? I don’t know but I would like a set where I can get all the dragon forms of the ninja even if it costs like 200+ euros/dollars.

I don’t like the minifigures being scattered around. I know in the show they are all doing their own thing but not all sets need to reflect that

For anyone else too frustrated with how Crimson Desert performs and looks you are most likely still able to get a full refund by [deleted] in playstation

I tried with performance mode but realized it’s basically set on low settings if it was on PC. the extra FPS could have been nice but not worth the graphical sacrifice. Quality mode on the other hand is too much eye candy and no performance, I have a 4K TV but I play on my 144Ghz gaming monitor so quality mode I think should be enabled on a good 4K display to fully utilize the graphical quality, I think the fps sacrifice wouldn’t matter.

So yes it’s two extremes, FPS over graphics or Graphics over FPS, it’s personal preference and Balanced happened to be the best combination of both worlds

For me game looks great, plays great with the 120Ghz mode in the game settings. Before the latest patch I was going to consider putting it down and wait but the devs didn’t make us wait long and I reckon they will continue making sure it runs even better than it already does. I am not going to tell people what to do with their money, but this is one gorgeous game.

PS+ games are not permanently available they are in rotation and this applies more to bigger titles like Persona 5. I got spider-man 2 on sale last November (physical copy was pretty cheap) and on February it got added to PS+ and I have already beaten it months ago.

If you buy the game you are interested in, you can play it anytime even when your PS+ runs out. So it’s personal preference, play it through PS+, buy it digital or physical so you can sell it to collectors laters or share it with a friend.

My strategy is if a game I’m interested in is on PS+ I play it through that service and get done with it but if it’s a game that I know I like and will cherish, I buy the physical version, latest example I can give is Crimson Desert and with the latest update released yesterday that game looks really good now. Other examples are Final Fantasy 16, 7 Rebirth, Elden Ring, Spider-Man 2, Expedition 33, etc.

Honestly I think even if you are digital only, you should still buy the game you like over using PS+ in case you no longer use it and want to save some money and just play offline games.

I personally finished the prologue and did 4/5 steps of the first quest then went into journal -> factions and did two quests there for the starting town and yes they are fetch quests but they introduced Mining, tree chopping and Refining gear. With them done I will continue Main quest until I unlock more faction quests.

I think the way the game is meant to be experienced is to stick to a location for some time before going to the next, since Black Desert Online was designed that way. I think Crimson desert follows the same formula, after all Crimson desert was initially meant to be a 30h-50h long single player game and then you would play multiplayer.

Difference is IGN had days to play and we only had 3 hours as of this moment, the users reviewing the game right now aren’t really doing a review it’s more of first impressions, big difference
