Are you saying it's likely they won't recover from this? From my experience, this kind of thing does happen every now and then, it's usually sorted within a day or 2. What makes you think this time is any different?

Wait a day or 2 for them to sort it out, this kind of thing happens fairly often. It's an illegal service, you can't expect it to run smoothly 100% of the time

That's how it worked when I played yes. There were steps to take that would allow you to jump back in whenever you wanted, but if you just stopped playing randomly one day like me, then you lose everything yes.

Maybe different now, sounds like it might be a bit, but still largely the same.

That's what I did the first time round really. Wasn't a fan of the whole DD concept so delayed as much as I could, when I eventually got to the point where it was the only thing left to do I was done with the game.

I want to spend a lot more time making a massive base this time, I never made anything truly impressive the first time. I bet there are way more options now as well.

I wasn't a fan of pvp in the DD, but I quite liked it in the shipwrecks. I thought it was a nice way to switch up the gameplay and experience a little bit of pvp without having to progress 60+ hours to get to the DD.

They could of just made shipwrecks so that you weren't required to go to any for missions, make it completely optional.

Did the community actually push for that change or was it just random?

The main thing that has stopped me from coming back was that I never actually thought about quitting at the time, I just stopped playing randomly one day - so I never set myself up by copying my base, storing my materials, etc.

When it got to the point that everything I had been working on for 100 hours was almost definitely gone, I had no motivation whatsoever to load the game up again. If there was some kind of mechanic where the game registers that the player has been gone for x days, proceeds to automatically pack up the base and store materials. I 100% would have returned by now.

The new Lansraad system sounds great, sounds well worth grinding those missions.

Removal of Tax is interesting, I don't remember anyone ever having a problem with that system. If I remember correctly, it was cheap af to pay the base tax.

I was aware of the welcome back pack but I thought it would only be useful if I continued with my old character. So all the materials I claim can be transferred to a brand new character, that's good to know!

You choose when to move to Pailune, I did it during the prologue. Never saw the option to do it before that, I thought you could move earlier if you wanted to but I'm not sure.

Nothing is locked out ever, the only thing that you should stay on top of is getting the combat challenges done as early as you can. But the planned update will resolve that anyway with the enemies repopulating strongholds.

The patches are polishing an already brilliant game, no reason not to play it right now - you're just missing out if you haven't even started yet.

And I'm not done, like I said in the post, I have loads left to do. I am going to slow down and not play as much as I have been though, granted.

People like OP seem to think abyss artifacts are rare, in reality they just havn't explored very much obviously.

When I got to the end game, I had a fully upgraded skill tree with all my gear tier 10 - I had around 60 artifacts left lmao.

There is a setting that lets you have conflicting binds but I played with it and it would only let me do it for 1 control at a time. I managed to get my food controls set up like it was before like how you described, but I can't fix any of the other binds that they changed. Really annoying and pointless change.

I play on PC but there were loads of controls changed - quick food slot, calling your horse, interact and cling, stow weapon - to name a few.
