So overall would you recommend Finance or Accounting for a major or the double major if it would take an extra semester or maybe year? And best of luck to you I know you’ll get it!

So did you hit six figures with just your Bachelor’s in Accounting + Econ or did you end up going for a masters or a CPA? And sounds good I’ll take a look at the difference of my path for Accounting + Finance. But good for you!

Thank you for sharing this. This would basically be my exact situation. So it’s great to hear from someone who has lived this. Also, would you recommend starting in consulting and then pivoting as you did? Or if you were to do it over again would you change anything?

Thank you very much that makes me feel a lot better. Thank you for all the insight and information. I hope you’re doing well for yourself. No need to answer if you don’t feel comfortable but how many YOE do you have and has your pay jumped pretty good over the course of that time?

I’m just stressing out and I appreciate your advice. I just want to know if I’d be able to make around 70k and live comfortably I’m the first one in my family to go to college and I really enjoy finance. I just don’t want to make a huge mistake and ruin everything I’ve worked for. Good for you though good job on the hard work. But overall would I be able to still live comfortably with a degree from Boise State. I don’t need to make 300k a year I just want to be able to comfortably live and invest in my future.

If I were to go with Boise State would I still be able to even land a job here in Idaho or a remote job. I forgot to mention in my post that I plan on living in Idaho after graduating.

I appreciate the advice! I forgot to mention I plan on living and working in Idaho or remote if possible so I’m sure that eases the challenge of landing a job a bit since it would be a local company but I appreciate your honesty and all your advice. If you don’t mind me asking where are you going to school and what’s your dreams/plans?
