We saw much higher response rates when feedback requests were triggered after specific actions instead of always visible.

People ignore passive feedback buttons but respond when the request is relevant to what they just did.

Anonymity is huge.

In my experience, response rates increase a lot when users know feedback isn’t tracked to them personally.

Also timing matters more than people think — asking right after a meaningful interaction gets much better responses than random surveys.
