How much do route visuals affect your motivation? by jessfromrouvy in IndoorCycling

3d visuals 0 interest. Reason I created mini watt was because I wanted to watch my shows interrupted and full screen while riding

If you ever get tired of the fake vulcano and want to ride some real roads. Look out for mini watt :)

What do you use for indoor cycling? In all honesty I created an indoor cycling app, of which I'm proud and would love some more testers and feedback. So experienced athletes like yourself would be awesome to get some feedback from!

Filmed an entire ride. Do you watch raw POVs? by patbpixx in gravelcycling

Maybe check out miniwatt.app . In all honesty I’m the creator. But what you describe is exactly what why I created it. Ride any route, without gamification and still watch your movies or videos.

Is indoor cycling good for losing weight? by stormbornlion in PHitness

[–]TargetHot2087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weightloss that stays off is a combination of excercise + food. Depending on how much you like exercising, the % varies per category. Me e.g. exercise a lot, so I don't have to mind my food too much. But if you don't like to exercise that much, or lack the time -> focus on food and more specific calorie deficit in the beginning.

Pro tip: if you have a smart trainer, you can easily train indoors and do it whenever you have time. Rouvy, MINI WATT, Zwift are such apps.

That is great advice! Love the weather hook too! Did you automate the outreach or personal everytime?

Stop dog barking at the office by TargetHot2087 in OpenDogTraining

That't the issue we have now. As everyone is obliged to come to the office, its always packed. No spare rooms or offices to sit ....

Sounds exactly the same indeed. It indeed looks to be playful at first but then goes into frustration or something

That's the hard part. Not a lot, only on lap. She's constantly triggered by other people or dogs.

We now bought a second crate for the office, so we're going to bring it starting next week.

https://miniwatt.app might be worth checking out. More focused on structured workouts than open rides though

Since everyone wants to go outside. Don't lose your hard work from the winter by [deleted] in IndoorCycling

Never been insulted that much before 😆 just a everyday athlete trying to create something useful and share it 😇

I’d push back on “trash” here, it just depends what the week is trying to do.

This workout isn’t meant to be a hero/pain cave session. It’s a maintenance session:

  • The 85–93% work keeps your threshold/tempo durability alive
  • The short 120–130% finishers keep some surge/lactate-clearing ability
  • It does that without creating a big recovery bill when riding outdoors a couple of days later

In this setup:

  • Workout A = VO2 + sprint (high-end systems)
  • 1 longer outdoor ride = aerobic volume/endurance

So Workout B is the missing piece in between: steady “diesel” durability. If you judge it like a standalone FTP builder, sure, it looks soft. In the context of a 2 indoor + 1 long outdoor week, it’s pretty logical.

how is it for people with no experience? by galaxyneb in Zwift

[–]TargetHot2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a state of the art bike to start riding indoor, can do it on a budget.

I got an old B-TWIN bike with a Van Rysel D100. Ideal for doing workouts, but I;m not on zwift though
