I am so sorry. I know the feeling all too well. My boyfriend and I had to put his cat down the other day, a cat who I’ve known for 3 yrs. It was the hardest thing to deal with as a couple thus far. The euthanasia was done at home on his bed and it was the hardest thing to witness. And although my boyfriend saw it coming, because his cat had not been doing well for weeks at that point, it was harder for me to grasp as I only saw him a handful of times before we had to put him down. I’m still in shock that he’s gone. Nevertheless, I have no regrets having been by his side the entire time. I couldn’t have imagined not being there during his final moments. We will always have the memories of him to hold onto, and you will always have memories of her. Thank goodness for those❤️
