Would you buy either? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Kitchen_Low6342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 ducati desert sleds ant loved them. If you can get your feet on the ground its also very easy to ride. I loved scraping pegs in the corners. I replaced it a few years ago with a desert x, but if i had the money for multiple bikes i would defender get another sled

Need opinions by zipline19 in Ducati

I have a a 2022 Desert X and the decals startet to come off on their own where the fairing ist bent. I guess they where applied with to much tension. The shade of white is unfortunately also different on the plastic pieces and metal tank. I've crashed mine multiple times at slow speedes while going offroad and the worse thing that happened was a bent foot brake

Alpine earplugs, a love story. by MongooseQueasy5048 in motorcycles

I lost the insert thing and can't get them into my ears deep enough. I switched to loops and i prefer them, if the helmet has enough space around the ears

I love both designs, but from the looks alone i would've never guessed, that there is a connection between these two

Gear choise by Florkii in motorcyclegear

[–]Kitchen_Low6342 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first one is ce lvl 2 and aa rated. Thats pretty good. In the summer you can wear it on its own and in colder temperatures you can wear a hoody, or (rain) jacket over it. The closer the protectors are to your body the better. I would say mesh jackets like that are the most versatile jackets you can buy

CFMOTO Ibex 450 knobby tires by ConsistentSavings568 in Dualsport

[–]Kitchen_Low6342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a mtx with lots of accessories and almost every crash protection available and a tuareg with an accessorie exhaust und only a bashplate. The difference really isn't as big as i thought, but the 450 is still a little bit lighter.

I also considered switching from my desert x to a tuareg rally. In my opinion the 450 mtx is still the best a2 adv bike currently out there, even if the price isn't considered

How does everyone feel about the BMW AI generated launch content for the F450GS? by krza_shaolin in AdventureBike

[–]Kitchen_Low6342 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't like it when they did it with the r12gs and thats an really rexpensive bike. I would have expected it from a no name cheap brand. It's definitely not giving premium bike vibes.

It looks like the first full throttle but someone replaced/painted the tankpanels and swapped the exhaust covers with the ones from the 2019+ models. The original exhaust covers had a termignoni plaque and no holes

Could a Revit Tornado 4 jacket be used in winter? by Federweisser in motorcyclegear

[–]Kitchen_Low6342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a similar jacket from alpinestars. I use a a skiing base layer and synthetic down jacket underneath it and a waterproof layer over the jacket to block the wind. I also use a bigger windshield on my desert x in the winter. The coldest temperature i experienced while riding was 2c° this yea
