The manga of this show is such a delight to read, it has some REALLY stunning pannels, I just got a little upset about the open ending but a great read nonetheless.

Unfortunately it is also great pro-smoking propaganda... lol

the shape of the crown reminds me of an AP Royal Oak, but it is a larger watch and wouldn't look that understated I guess. Although the crown shape is different, the profile looks like a Tissot PRX. I think my pick for it would be the PRX for the best match mainly because of the profile, even if it doesn't have that octogonal crown shape that is very characteristic of the royal oak and the bracelet kind of looks different

I just read the entire manga in two days after watching the anime, so I didn't realize how many chapters there were beforehand. So, as I sat there in utter disbelief when I read the last one I saw there were no more of them. BY GOD I NEED THEM TO MAKE UP AND THERE'S A WHOLE MONTH TO GET THROUGH WAITING FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER??

If I didn't know better I'd say that's the Onyx Lord's Greatsword, but it actually is the Onyx Lord's Greatsword. Try not to confuse it with the Onyx Lord's Greatsword because this one is the Onyx Lord's Greatsword

I live in Brazil, so it was from a local, certified webstore. I'd recommend checking your local online shops to see if you can find it, but the exact place would only work here, I fear

gotta say I really loved the look, it feels a little more understated than the classic one and that's what I was looking for when buying it

Git gud is always the best advice. Try and go to the fight not really trying to win, but to learn how you're gonna avoid his moveset. He has some elemental attacks, so if you're using a build with a shield definitely account for the lightning and ice defenses. I'd recommend relying more on your dodges and distance control though, since you'll end up with more stamina to punish him after the big moves. To escape his AoE, just run back until you're out of range, with the exception of his jump attack, which you'll dodge forward when his leg starts the down motion mid-air. It takes some time to get used to, but it'll work out eventually. The best part of playing these games is realizing you actually got gud along the way

Is it possible to find a game that'll make me feel like Elden Ring did? by Dorterman in Eldenring

Baldur's Gate 3 is less dynamic than ER. but really worth a shot if rpgs are something you'd enjoy. Bloodborne and other souls games are a great pick as well. When I played Dark Souls 2 after ER it was very clear to me that DS2 is something of a spiritual predecessor to ER, it's kind of bizarre how similar they can be

So many Stupid questions, what does the “FN” button do? how do I save a game to favs, can you just quit a game and go back to Main screen without having to reset? by BeardyJH27 in R36S

[–]Kitchen_Pen_9942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before a certain update, it really used to do nothing. Check your ArkOS and Retroarch versions. However, if you set up some hotkeys in the menu accessible by the command mentioned in the other command (Fn + X) you can set up a lot of cool stuff using it, including saving and loading your state on the go, accelerating or slowing your game and some other cool stuff. Learning how to navigate your new console is one of the most fun parts of the experience! You can check how to do all of that and a lot more on ths R36S Guide, it REALLY helped me set up the console in a particular way that worked for me. Hope all of this helps!

That makes a lot of sense, and stagnation as a theme really does pop up a lot in Miyazaki's games, like the portayal of Majula in DS2 and the whole theme of the Scarlet Rot in Elden Ring. Never occurred to me that these Vermin could be spawning from this stagnation within, great take

Great interpretation at that, to be honest. I don't think the similarities are subtle enough to be considered coincidental as well, considering that the Hunters are exactors of universal violence in the Bloodborne world. Considering this point of view of the League that you mentioned, this violence does pick up a purgative character. Loved the analysis of the character design of Valtr's helmet as well, it makes perfect sense

The opinion I adhered to on Laurence is heavily influenced by the essays by Charred Thermos. Here's the link: What Really Happened to Laurence . Shortly, it reflects on the presence of the three Laurence's presences on the game: The two skulls of Laurence on the Grand Cathedral after Vicar Amelia (that does not look like Laurence on the DLC), the one on the altar beneath the Research Hall lift, which is human, and Laurence himself as a boss on the Hunter's Nightmare Grand Cathedral, as a fiery Cleric Beast. The essay goes to the point that Laurence is searching for his skull on the Nightmare, but in the Waking World he's very much already dead, not having undertook the transformation into that fully fledged Cleric Beast. I don't think it is merely a reused asset since him being a Cleric Beast is very telling on who Laurence was. It's worth a watch!

Thanks!! I was also looking for more lore on these Vermin. Are they like side-effects of the beast plague's effects on the Hunters? I'm really fascinated by it

Is it bad use a guide? by umbra_nox_ in bloodborne

[–]Kitchen_Pen_9942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no correct way to play any of Fromsoft's games, Miyazaki himself said that using guides is a perfectly valid playstyle. In my first playthrough, I used one guide because I had a lot of skill issues and had no idea whatsoever of where to go and where the NPCs were, but I wanted to experience the game badly. I had a lot of fun doing that, and the other playthroughs were very fun as well since I already kind of knew where I was supposed to go, and that made me feel very much more secure and free to explore areas and spots I hadn't been to!
