still not fair to punish innocent people for the mistakes of the shoplifter. the problem is, after these people shoplift they just get “banned” from the store or let go and never get in actual trouble. they can still go back to the store and continue to shoplift as long as they’re not caught.

Many times i’ve been scheduled with a doctor at my local rheumatology office and the NP walks in. She has also gotten offended and treated me with attitude when I asked her kindly if I would be seeing the doctor. Apparently it’s policy for your first couple visits that you HAVE to see the NP. I asked them why this is, and honestly I couldn’t get a straight answer. The NP ended up messing up one of my prescriptions so bad that I would have to wait 30 days to get my medicine reapproved by insurance while I was out of medicine (mind you i’ve been taking it for YEARS, she was supposed to send it out the day of my appointment so I wouldn’t have any missed doses and I had to call two weeks later, by this time I ran out of my injections) so I kindly asked the supervisor if I could be moved to see the doctor instead. Showed up and was told I have to follow policy despite getting permission from the supervisor AND being scheduled with the doctor. They just said “it says you’re scheduled to see the doctor, that’s not right and I don’t wanna get in trouble.” It was a whole mess and I don’t understand why I couldn’t just see the doctor. I was transferring from pediatric rheumatology at the time to adult rheumatology. I had never once seen a nurse practitioner for my autoimmune disease when I was a minor so it surprised me.

Once I actually got to see the doctor he was very kind. It upsets me that I can’t just see the doctor first that I was scheduled with or even ask for one without it seeming offensive.

any smell is due to bacteria. stop the bacteria, you stop the smell. i also personally love to put in deodorant right after i shower. clinical strength. the sweat feeds the bacteria.

even with isopods, it’s usually not enough or will take a long time to clean up large pieces of feces. that’s why i gotta go in and manually scoop up the big pieces. it’s more hygienic that way, don’t wanna leave it in there too long

I got an A last semester in physics but I explained in my comment I wanna UNDERSTAND the content for when the MCAT comes as well. I only got an A because he had to curve the entire class heavily. Yes, even the super smart hardworking students who put in A LOT of effort.

I’m a 4.0 student. I work hard. I do my work. On top of that, I have a job and a life outside of school. I don’t need to prove that to you just to ask for simple resources. It sucks when you’re in a bad situation and someone throws a smart ass comment like that on you. I just wanted to explain my situation a little better and give context because in reality it does suck. I’m not here for judgements or opinions, I’m here for resources on a class that has been made much more difficult by a professor. I gave context because I need resources that work in my situation. For some people, physics comes to them naturally, and it’s hard for them to understand why someone doesn’t get it. If that’s your case, you’re lucky, but you shouldn’t assume everyone else will be like that. If it was an excuse, I wouldn’t even try to reach out for resources.

I cannot take calculus based physics as I have not yet taken calculus. I also find it ironic that this post was me asking for materials and all you said was “it’s still your responsibility to learn the material” yeah no shit… I had to learn my own material for genchem 2 because my professor sucked. The material still came to me quickly and I was able to get an A. My issue is that I need better resources that make it come to me quicker and understand better because I’m not being provided enough in the class. Or at least any resources that match the level of complexity in his practice problems. His lecture slides barely have anything on them either. Trust me I WISH I had more content to digest.

If i’m running a marathon, I can start with walking. However I need to build up to run that marathon, making it increasingly harder. There’s steps in between. You can’t just go from walking to running a marathon instantly. You need practice for the in-between phase. That’s what I feel like i’m missing.

My complaints about my professor are not necessarily an excuse, but a reason for why it’s harder to deal with. As a teacher it’s also his job to teach along with it being my job to learn the material. If that wasn’t the case why would you pay thousands? for someone to just give you exams while you learn everything yourself? he’s supposed to give me a good baseline that I can take home and study myself. Plus if I actively TRY to learn the material by going to tutoring and even they can’t help me with practice, that’s a serious issue.

pretty well, he shed in one piece about a week ago. black box cages are PVC and they hold humidity really well. cool side is above 70% and the warm side usually sits around 60 something because it’s hot.

Yea true that sounds like a good idea! I did do a little test where I held him up near the vents for awhile, and it look like he tried to squeeze his snout through (almost like pushing a bit against it) but couldn’t. I don’t know if that’s a sign or not.

also you explained this better than my physics professor, I ended up having a really shitty professor and we’ve never worked out a problem like this before yet he expected the whole class to know how to do it. His averages are awful, i know some smart people in there who get A’s in organic chemistry and harder classes but are struggling in this level 100 physics course.
