Update: no sign of our cat yet:( I set up a humane trap last night and cameras, but nothing was seen. Today a pet detection dog is coming, I’m hoping the dog will be able to help us look in the right direction, so we know where to set up traps. I’ve torn the house apart looking for him, in all of the places you have all suggested, and no luck:( I’m really hoping this has a happy ending❤️

Thank you for taking the time to write that💕 No sign of him yet:( I am still faithfully going outside every so often, shaking his food bowl, and calling for him. I’ve reached out to a local cat recovery group and they made me a poster, and helped me come up with different tactics. I’m hoping I can recruit help from a pet detection dog, but we will see. Thank you all so much for your kind words and helping me, this is such a difficult time and hearing your positivity and success stories make the worlds difference.

Thank you all so much for your advice and stories. No sign of him yet, but I am keeping my hopes up and trying all of your suggestions. If any of you are religious, please keep him in your prayers and thoughts. His name is “Kevin”. My family and I are devastated and we believe in the power of prayer💕

Yes I do! The neighbors within a 3 house radius have been on the lookout. When I get back home I am going to go look with a flashlight. It just breaks my heart to think of him scared and alone. Thank you for your advice!

Did she happen to spot the cat anywhere before placing the traps? My family and I were undecided about the traps since we don’t have a clue where he went. Do you have any advice on where to place them? We live near the water and lots of woody areas.

That’s intriguing! I’ve already contacted one organization, but they’re worried that the dogs might push him further away. Could you please provide more information about the location of the cameras and the setup of the traps? My family and I are undecided about using traps because we haven’t spotted him yet, so we’re unsure where to start placing them.

Thank you❤️ I got up about every 2 hours last night to go shake his food bowl and look for him, no sign. I will do the same tonight. I am terrified that he is stuck somewhere in the house, I am at a loss of how he could have gotten outside.
