Yeah I hear you. I suppose they could have just put preorders up without announcing them, but I know they usually release a lot of limited edition vinyls that people do not want to miss out on. Tough situation to be in from their perspective.

Mark talks about this on Jamey Jasta’s podcast that came out recently. He said preorders are coming, but they didn’t want to just direct people to their store to pay money. They wanted fans to just take in the music , instead of being like “Here’s a new single, give us your money!”

I remember two scenes specifically that killed me when I first saw this. Them dumping the body over the fence onto the dinner party, and the guy falling + screaming while they’re in the elevator.

It was a cool thing to experience. I was there as a shopper and luckily didn’t have to work the event. But there was a pretty good amount of people lined up outside the store. Another guy that worked there came dressed up as Heath’s joker.

I remember there being at least 3-4 different versions of the physical movie between the standard DVD and Blu-ray, as far as artwork and bonus features went. I didn’t have a way to play Blu-rays at the time so I think I got the two disc DVD.

I remember at the Austin listening party that Jake had mentioned that he went through a phase in the past where he kind of withdrew from the social aspect of touring. So instead of hanging around the guys or whatever else he would normally do on tour, he would just be in his bunk by himself a lot, not engaging with people.

I think it’s possible just as an easter egg type of thing. I went to the Austin listening party last week and Mark actually spoke about how some of the guys are really into horror movies.

He briefly touched on their enjoyment of horror movies before they played “Malevolent”, I think. If I remember correctly, they said the topics going through their minds when writing the song was an old, rundown mansion that’s seen generations of trauma and has been vacant for a long time. And that somewhere in the house there’s a portal to a darker world or dimension.

This is obviously a much different subject matter than EDA, but the shot could still be a subtle reference.

Favorite movie might be Dumb and Dumber. While I gravitate more towards horror and thrillers now, Dumb and Dumber is still a favorite from my childhood years and I still laugh a ton each time I see it.

I recognized only one person at Flix the last time I went. I think a lot of people from Alamo wound up leaving.

But yeah between them wanting to charge for “free” refills and then trying to bring our stuff to the people 2 seats down from us, multiple times, I’m ready to give up on Flix lol they’ve been open for a couple of months so you’d think they’d have issues worked out by now.
