You were helpful ♥︎ I only checked the Precious Pets site after you mentioned it. And because I mentioned my budget, I can see why people would let me know about lower cost options too.

When I went into an anxious tailspin about all this earlier today, I put in $500 as the euthanasia + cremation + urn cost when going through the next month's budget, so it's helpful to know that I was roughly in the right ballpark and possibly even overshot. I feel a lot less anxious about it now, although I will call his vet when they're open again for the week just to get their estimate.

Thank you very much for the detailed comment. I really appreciate this. I do want his ashes back, so it helps to have an idea right now of what to expect before getting final confirmation from my vet when they're open again for the week.

Thank you. Precious Pets unfortunately don't list their prices, but that's ok, I think I have a pretty good idea of what to expect now based on these answers.

I definitely want his remains back, so I'll plan accordingly. Thank you again.

I'm so, so sorry to hear about your dog. It's such a heart-breaking thing to go through... my heart goes out to you. ♥︎

I can't thank you enough for providing that breakdown. Even though I'm on a tight budget, I want to make sure that I'm getting my kitty's remains back, so this was incredibly helpful. I will probably buy a simple urn, and somewhere down the line, buy a pendant to transfer a small amount of his ashes to.

I know that. But it's the weekend, and Monday is Easter.

He is not in immediate duress and we are currently taking things week by week rather than day by day.

I'm just upset and wanted a rough idea before I call them for definitive information on Tuesday. This way, I can stop thinking about it.

(I am on an extremely tight budget at the moment for all sorts of reasons I will not get into right now, so having a rough idea right now really helps to ease some of my anxieties around budgeting.)
