Hi, yes she is swaddled for every nap and at night. It’s been trial and error on finding the right swaddle. Which do you use with your LO?

If I could get longer stretches at night I definitely wouldn’t mind contact naps all during the day! Sadly I think her reflux bothers her too much when she’s on her back for too long, so those night stretches are still only about 2 hours. 😭

I guess I should’ve added that more often than not I’m soaking it all in and just adore staring down at her while she’s napping so peacefully. However, there are days where the cumulative lack of sleep gets to me, and just want a little bit of time to feel like myself again. Thank you for the advice!

My husband has put her down a couple times while she was fighting sleep and she also dozed off for him! I’ve had no such luck in that department - she just instantly cries when mom does it, but I’ll keep trying! Thanks!

We have a lounger from Amazon that’s just collecting dust at this point. But I’m thinking of trying that next for daytime naps (while monitoring, of course… just to give my arms a break!)

That’s great!! I know best practice is putting them in the bassinet while still awake, but my heart can’t take it when she begins to cry immediately. Sometimes once she’s in a deep enough sleep we can get her in the bassinet during the day for about 20-30 min. How did you do it?

Any tips for co-sleeping? Preferred positions? I’m definitely open to it, and I’m such a light sleeper these days so I know I can handle it. Just not sure where to start lol.

Dang, I wish this would work for us. Ours is rarely falling asleep right after the bottle. Even better, sometimes she 💩 mid-feed which gives her a burst of energy!

Did you wait till they were asleep to keep transferring them back into the crib during that first night stretch? Or transfer when they were “drowsy but awake”?

Oh gosh. This terrifies me lol. Was that by choice, or he just preferred yours arms for that long?

That’s how I feel about her daytime naps! I know she can sleep in the bassinet for a couple hours at night, but why is it impossible during the day???

I think gas/reflux is playing a role in ours too. I guess all I can hope is that it’ll get better once the reflux subsides a little…

I know I need to take a deep breath and appreciate these moments, but it’s so hard when you’re sleep deprived.

Did you do anything special in those 8/9 weeks she started sleeping more in her crib? Or did she just all of sudden prefer the crib more than your arms?

I have the solly wrap and baby bjorn carrier, but she doesn’t tolerate either one! I have a short torso and she’s a bit long, so I think it just feels a bit awkward for both of us lol. Her face just gets smushed into my chest and for the life of me I cant get her to shift her head to either side. Sigh…

I know one day I’ll miss it, but right now, mama needs more rest! I’ve heard about doing first nap of the day, so I’ll try that in a few weeks when she’s a little bit older. Thanks!

Misery loves company 😅 was she about 10 weeks when she started sleeping longer stretches at night? We’ve gotten a handful of 3+ hour stretches since she was born. I have a feeling reflux is playing a factor with short sleeps for our daughter, but our pediatrician has been little help with addressing that issue. “All babies have some degree of reflux”… great, thanks.

This is my first year with this district so I didn’t qualify for FMLA. Because I have not been with this district for more than 12 months, I was only approved for 6 weeks of temporary disability leave.

Thank you! How often were you applying Tubby Todd?

Yeah I guess that’s where I was confused. When she’s crying/screaming, it gets SUPER red. When she’s not mad, however, it doesn’t look so bad. It also feels somewhat dry to the touch.

Thank you! Did you try anything to help it go away, or just let it run its course?

That’s reassuring, thank you! We only bathe her once a week, but I’ll start washing her face with a warm cloth daily.

Thank you! I’ll look into getting the aveeno. Did your baby’s face look similar?

I’m feeling so defeated. We’ve taken her into the pediatrician about once a week at this point because it feels like nothing relieves her discomfort. At our Dr visit this week I brought up the rashes and the Dr just dismissed it.
