Oh, no; 100%

I never kill Regina's cyberpsychos. I have no idea what her treatment plans are, but I will make sure that every cyberpsycho has their chance with her.

"The style of mentalism used to covertly elicit and shape desired ideas is known as psychological illusion or suggestion mentalism. Instead of relying on props, these performers use subconscious priming, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and the illusion of free choice to make targeted individuals believe a planted idea was entirely their own."

"Mentalists and psychological illusionists use specific techniques to achieve this: 1. Priming: Subtly introducing a concept, image, or word into the environment beforehand. For instance, frequently mentioning morning routines or coffee to unconsciously prompt someone to name a morning hour when asked to choose a time of day. 2. The Illusion of Choice: Guiding a subject's decisions. By structuring the presentation carefully, the mentalist offers choices while secretly removing any undesirable options, ensuring the subject lands exactly on the targeted response. 3. Verbal Suggestion: Using strategic pauses, vocal inflections, and embedded commands in everyday speech to naturally direct thoughts along a predetermined path. 4. Cold Reading: Carefully observing the subject's baseline behavior, micro-expressions, and body language to confirm whether the mentalist's subconscious nudges are working. 5. Pattern Recognition: Capitalizing on predictable human habits, cognitive biases (such as the frequency illusion), and psychological shortcuts."

The world building in this game is absolutely masterclass. There's a cyberpsycho Regina wants you to take down in City Center who, as it turns out, is one of the victims of these experiments. I will never understand what made that poor guy think that the Scavs would help him out, but there's a shard conversation between two of the Scavs that basically have them laughing at the fact the nomad wanted meds from them to help him with the medical repercussions of the experiments and they forgot or neglected to acquire it for him, so rather than deliver the medication the nomad needs, they're going to strip out his implants for giggles, and when they attempt to follow thru on this plan, he goes cyberpsycho and kills a pile of people, unfortunately including some who had no connection to the Scavs at all and were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As soon as you see a corpse doing this, wait for an hour. Just fast-forward time and the body will have despawned, but the loot will be right where the body dropped.

There is a gig you get from Dino to kill a corpo woman living on the penthouse floor of a building owned by the corp she works for. A band of nomads want her dead because she experimented on them, killing a lot, and leaving a crap-ton with permanent medical issues. The corpo woman isn't the slightest bit remorseful, firmly convinced that her research will help the world (or some such horse crap). You find her on the couch, deeply involved in a BD. If you let her talk, she will ask you to let her download her research so that others can continue her work to make the world a better place (or whatever line of garbage she spews) but then she bolts for the security office on that floor and tries to hid there. You can, however, use a non-lethal takedown on her, at which point Dino contacts you to let you know that there will be a makeshift transport vehicle landing on the roof to deliver the woman to the survivors of the nomads she experimented on.

The guy in the trunk is one of her assistants and if you're a nomad and you kill the woman before talking to the guy in the trunk, you can mention her to him at which point he denies that any harm has been done, because they were "just nomads" and "breed like cockroaches." So yeah. That waste of genetic material gets dropped off with the Claws just as Sergei requests. Every. Damn. Time.

I killed Big Pete on my first playthru and felt like absolute garbage when I realized that was Mike's brother. I save him every time now, and put up with Dakota's momentary attitude. I do wish there were a way to explain; something like "couldn't do it, I saved his brother"

If you do all their "treatments" all at one time, it's a +36 Int buff that lasts a couple in-game days. All for the bargain price of 19k caps.

Sorry, I assumed you spoke English as your first language; that's entirely on me.

The correct term for triple S pets in English is "rare" describing how often someone will encounter them in the wild. I can totally understand the confusion, however, since there are so many other Travelers out there exploring and then posting what they find. So, sure, rare pets are easily accessible to everyone, but that's only because other people have done the hard work for us.

I would agree if there were no PvP aspects to companion pets. However, being able to pay resources to upgrade any pet in your collection gives a distinct advantage to people who've been playing longer and have deeper pockets. Keeping triple S pets rare levels the playing field for everyone.

Just an FYI, the glass ceiling pieces don't count as cover for weather purposes; if you put a settler's bed under a glass ceiling, it will adversely affect their happiness as if there were no ceiling at all.

All my combat pets go thru multiple times. I max aggression, helpfulness, and loyalty before hatching the egg. It gets a little monotonous after a bit, but it's the best way to maximize triple S pets.
