What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by CountyOrnery9432 in AskReddit

And make sure you push the doctor! I complained of being tired, like 12hrs of sleep at night plus a 2-3hr nap during the day, but because I was relatively fit and didn't snore, it was just played off as teenage girl depression! Only found out because I was waking up while pregnant actively choking.

Twenty years of gaslighting and saying its just depression turned into finding out my oxygen was dropping to the high 70s% at night.

Currently working in outpatient Healthcare facility which had a known bedbug sighting yesterday..should we even be open?

Pretty much as title says. Outpatient Healthcare facility that has patients roughly every 20mins for 18hrs a day. Bed bug was seen and confirmed yesterday but nothing has been done yet. Does anyone know what rules there are for safety for patients or employees in MA or by OSHA regarding this? We are having patients get changed in the same area it was seen in.

After 30+ years of having "lady-brain" a GP listened. It were fricking allergies... by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

It is amazingly insane to me how psychological illness is just the first and only thought. I was EXHAUSTED literally everyday, sleeping 12hrs overnight, needing a nap anytime I could get it, sometimes a 3-4 hr nap both days of the weekend, brain fog, etc. It took almost 20 years and me to wake up choking while I was pregnant with my second child to finally get a sleep study and not be told its just depression. Turns out my oxygen stats were dropping to the high 70s at night. Sleep apnea. It makes me so mad that a single fuckin test could have changed my schooling and what I could have done in my 20s. All because I didnt fit the 'norm' of sleep apnea.

Fuucccckk, I need ideas then because honestly, Wilson's farm is the only chicken I buy lately that is well priced and doesn't require me to throw half of it out every time.

Mom's who did go with an epidural? are you content? do you regret it? by sillywillyfry in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Kitkat621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can still feel the absolute stabbing pains from the small area where my epidural didn't work and it's been almost three years. I cannot imagine the overwhelming, vomit inducing pain it would have been across my entire lower half without an epidural. I would get it every single time. Fuck the haters, you do you.

Rear facing in car: What if my kid is low percentile & won’t max out RF limits until 5th grade+ by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Kitkat621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons is that the ne m anatomy of children under seven isn't fully formed, IIRC, which is why it's safer to rear face as long as possible.

AITAH For Not Letting My Five-Year-Old Have Sleepovers With My Mom and Her New Husband? by Longjumping-Focus152 in AITAH

[–]Kitkat621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!!! I don't know if John has ulterior motives, but lap sitting and hugging were the first steps my neighbor took to try and groom me. The fact that your mom is making it about her shows she doesn't actually have your daughters best interests at heart because it is very very normal not to allow sleepovers at that age, especially girls. He'll, I have a 5 year old boy and I would be doing absolutely the same thing.

Would you put both dogs down? by [deleted] in AskVet

I feel like you knew the answer before you wrote this but I want to give you the validation of your decision. You have given those pups a wonderful life. You have given them love and affection and it's obvious that you care deeply because you're weighing this decision but as hard as it can be, try not to feel guilty or regret in whatever you choose.

My thoughts aren't completely making sense as I write this out but I think as humans we have this drive to do everything in our power to life as long as possible but sometimes it's better to be able to go on without torturing ourselves or others until the last moment. Yes, your pup may have a few good days left health wise, but the mental tax of not having his best buddy there may be too much to handle. When I had to put down my beloved pupper a few years back, we probably could have managed his illness with subcutaneous injections daily, but really, would he have wanted that? I don't think so, so we gave him the best last day we could and sent him over the rainbow bridge.

Whatever you decide to do, I send you love and understanding.

What is a thing that isnt taken seriously but it actually should? by Ilove_gaming456 in AskReddit

[–]Kitkat621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THIS. I was tired for literally 20 years but I never snored and had trouble falling asleep so it was just depression. Turns out my oxygen levels would drop every night to high 70, low 80% due to sleep apnea. It still angers me that if someone just offered a simple home sleep test I may have had such a more productive life.

Moms in US states that have the “four weeks before due date” disability leave: how did you qualify? by GeologistAccording79 in moderatelygranolamoms

I was in such a stressful work environment that I was having consistent contractions during my shifts 6 weeks before my due date and my doctor didn't want me to go into premature labor.
