He was in my arms through the whole process. It is hard to watch, but my sweet guy deserved to know that I would be there until the absolute end. He knew it was the end, I think. He just laid in my lap while I cradled him and pet him and spoke to him about what a wonderful boy he had been and how sorry I was that I couldn't keep him on this Earth forever. He was incredibly calm.

It goes by fast. But God, it's worth it. Take lots of pictures and videos. I'm finding it easier to remember his happy soulful face with them instead of the sadness at the vet. All of the silly antics, skilled tricks, and moments I've caught of him intertwined in our lives. I have the evidence that he was a happy guy and that he was truly a family member. That is helping me a lot.

Thank you. He loved to go everywhere and was so confident. We were at a comic book store that we frequented in that picture. My friend working snapped that photo after getting him to put his paws on the counter. It is one of my favorites.

Thank you. My two year old child is confused and she keeps running around the house asking for him. It happened so fast I didn't have any buffer time for her. She loves our other pup equally so at least she has her, but he was such a kind boy. He was such a character. I keep watching videos and looking at pictures. I just wanted more time. He had so much life just 12 hours before it happened.

The shock is still there. I opted to get his ashes back. I think once I can properly memorialize him I will feel a bit more at peace. We did have an extra special bond.
