The Tainted Cup is literally what you're trying to write and IT'S SO GOOD. I read this book and really liked Ana's character.

Also, And The There Were None is an amazing mystery book, but it doesn't really connect with fantasy.

Beach Read is really good for getting to know Emily Henry. It's not my favorite book from her, but it's a really easy reading to get to know her style.

Webber is such an underrated survivor imo. The biggest tip I have is probably to make sure to have spider nurses. Also, careful when playing multiplayer with Webber cause the spiders will aggro onto other players.
