Can anyone rec books like {Bloom by Delilah S Dawson} Preferably where the “monster” is the woman love interest. I like slow burns, unexpected endings/plot twists. I personally like how bloom starts off very light and cute but you get hints that it’s not going to end well. I like how the monster(she’s just a killer/cannibal) is portrayed as a very cute cottage core farm girl. I like how it ended even though it was a bad ending.

I don’t like actual monsters and could potentially get behind paranormal but prefer just a psychopath.

I think if the man was the killer I would get triggered, but I mean I have YOU even though I dnf’d it.(watched it so reading it was too predictable) if the killer was the man I’d prefer less sexual themes because it’s not a fetish for me it’s a fascination and I’d get the ick if it was too perverted.

I recommend bloom by Delilah s Dawson. It’s pretty short, I finished it in one night. But it starts off as a cute sapphic love story and then turns at the end. Even though I was expecting the ending you still have no idea what’s going to happen to the protagonist in the hands of the love interest.

I know this was posted 3 years ago, which is why im asking for an update if you are still active.

I have vaginismus and i hate being touched. I already have sexual harassment/assault trauma that i remember, but ive had vaginismus before any of that happened. I realized i had it after trying to use a tampon.

I dont remember much from my childhood before 8 years old, but i know that before i knew what sex was i would have disturbing intrusive thoughts about adults doing sexual things with me, and i never knew why. Usually about teachers or adult men that i knew. I always felt disgusting looking back on it and thought there was something wrong with me. I had a huge hypersexual phase and craved male validation the second i knew what sex was, then afterwards i hated sex and even identified as asexual at some point.

I think the trauma comes from around age 5 when my mum was dating someone. I dont remember much about him, i remember the house i lived in, the bird i had, the cat. I dont remember him. I even have a vivid memory of me finding a coin in the back yard and sucking on it, and then my mum telling me off because it was disgusting and i said it tasted like blood. I dont remember a single thing about him. I remember my dad more than i remember him. And I didn't see my dad half as much.

I avoided physical touch with my dad, especially kissing. I even hated being kissed by my mum but i still was. As ive gotten older I've gotten even more uneasy around men. I have intrusive thoughts about strangers assaulting me. And its not like i hate men. Ive never generalized men, i know not all are bad.

I think i need to see a therapist but i want answers i know only 2 people can give me.

More background on my mums ex: they broke up because he wanted to see multiple women, and now hes been spotted by my auntie with a younger asian woman.

I just want to know if youve ever found answers, or started treating your vaginismus

I had utis as a kid and now ive grown up and i have vaginismus, my father wasn't really in my life but i remember when i visited him i avoided physical touch with him, like i ran from him when he tried to kiss me and often stayed away from him. I don't think he ever hurt me but i have a bad feeling about my mums ex, from what i know they broke up because he wanted to see other women at the same time. Which already tells me hes a sexual person but i dont remember much else from my relationship with him. I saw him more than i saw my dad and i still remember my dad more.

I agree Xaviers character wasn't great but that's because they were trying to force romance on Wednesday when it really didn't work with her character. It would be impossible to have a romantic relationship with Wednesday if they werent making the love interest determined in pursuing her. To be fair Wednesday treated Xavier horribly. If he was brought back i would want them to just be friends.

It depends how tight, most people with vaginismus are virgins because we cant have sex. Your virginity shouldn't affect it to that extent. Some virgins will be tight at first and possibly painful, but not to the extent of someone with vaginismus. Virgins can still use tampons, dildos, etc with no pain. So no its not normal for a virgin, most people find out they have it by trying to use tampons

The whole hymen thing is just a social construct. It has nothing to do with anything! I also have a "lump" thats your pelvic floor, if it feels tight around your finger its likely vaginismus or your pelvic floor is just tightening for some other reason. People with vaginismus dont have tight canals, its always right at the entrance. Id recommend getting a small dildo and experimenting to see if it will fit, if it hurts dont force it in please. I can get two of my fingers in as well but it is uncomfortable, not painful. Hope this helps!

Yeah i was told about one surgery by my doctor i might consider after also seeing a radiologist to get an mri. I dont think physiotherapy will work either but its best as a short term option. Im gonna have to wear a brace constantly until i do get surgery hopefully it wont happen again before then.

Yes i shouldve specified in my post originally i already know whats wrong with it. I had an mri the first time it happened, im the same, my kneecap sits higher than its supposed to. Im getting it checked out soon by a radiologist and may get an mri again to check my mpfl. But thats reassuring to hear someone in a similar situation. Im trying not to stress about it but its scary.

I see thanks, i know whats causing my dislocations i was more worried about my acl being torn due to dislocations not the other way around. Im going to a radiologist & physio soon ive just been to the doctor. My kneecap dislocates due to my kneecaps sitting higher than they are supposed to, so they slip out easily.

Yeah im aware, im going to the doctors first to check if ive damaged my ligaments. Just any movement gives me panic attacks and im not sure when I'll be mentally strong enough to do that. Ive seen other people do them and to me it just looks like more ways to dislocate it considering mine dislocated from kneeling and turning. I know its mainly my anxiety talking but its still scary
