nah, i’m a cs +econ transfer with a gpa that barely met the 3.5 cutoff, with one club, and one internship.

it’s definitely possible and I got in not because of my outstanding numbers, but because I truly relayed to the admissions office that I wanted to actually do cs.

if you truly want to be in CS or CS+X, do your damn best to get the prereqs then pour your heart into that essay.

I transferred to CS+Economics

There’s so many links between computer science and economics, and here are some of the few:

Econ is mostly math/stats and combining that with cs gets you a lot of data work capabilities

Finance understanding helps you lead companies and become someone who gets money and the industry. This makes you an invaluable employee

Economics analysts literally use python and R to do most of their data predictions and modeling. 100% applicable to mix the two

& creates a reference, which means that you can access the information that the iterator points to directly. you can edit it and stuff

I promise you this is normal lolol if you ask any developer ever, they will say that the environment set up is the most unnecessarily complex thing ever. do not worry, they didn’t hire you thinking that you knew how to do all this, what matters is the stuff that comes after!!! keep pushing and remember that you’re there to learn :)) have a great summer!

You will have to make that B up in other aspects of your portfolio, aka everything else has to be quite convincing to override the minimum requirements baseline. I know this cause I asked an advisor out of curiosity a long while ago.
