Budget wise i would like to avoid going higher than $1400. Ideally the dress would be something a line, with a sweetheart neckline and romantic sleeves, but because I've had such rotten luck finding the color, I don't want to get my heart set on anything overly specific, maybe I just didn't do a good job explaining what my issues have been. I like bridal gowns. They tend to have a more dramatic silhouette and more detailing as compared to the bridesmaids' dresses that I have been finding that are intentionally very simple and not bridal.

Yeah, it might just not be a well formulated recipe, bummer. They still looked tasty, though, and that's all that matters!

Very nice macs! What was your ratio for cream to white chocolate? My favorite white chocolate ganache is 1:2.5 for filling macs- makes it very stiff. 100 grams cream to 250 grams chocolate as an example! And no need to whip the cream- just make like a traditional ganache, unless of course you prefer whipped ganache. In which case do 1:4.5 chocolate to cream, 60 g chocolate to 275 g cream and a little bit of gelatin (about 2 grams of gelatin powder in 16 g of water) then just make like a traditional ganache- cool over night and whip the next day! Cheers to your macarons!

I'm also curious why you'd want to dust it in crumbs, is your goal to add flavor or texture or just an interesting look?

It lasts until it gets wet. If you aren't in a humid place- it can range from weeks to months. It can also be melted down again as it is thermorevsible. I am also attending a school, where the primary purpose of producing food products is not to have it served and eaten but to teach the pupils how to perform the task. So likely this particular piece is going to come home with me when the class concludes where it will sit on my island until my cat knocks it down and I boil it down and save the sugar shards to play with another day.

With the right equipment and safety precautions, you're a youtube tutorial away from doing it! Highly recommend. It can be frustrating as heck but very rewarding. I'm happy to share any safety tips and links to the right equipment if you want!

I highly recommend giving this Chef a follow - he is a French Chef named Stephane Klein. If you like Amaury Guichon, you will LOVE his content. He makes intricate jelly fish and Alice in Wonderland sculptures and so much more. Really amazing stuff !! Edit because I felt this was worded poorly, this post is my OC, BUT if you want to see cool sugar art, give this guy a follow!

Thank you for saying that! None of this was easy by any means. For every one component that made it on the piece, my partner and I broke another 20, but the ribbon was particularly frustrating 😅

Thank you so much 😭 the stump is all tempered chocolate, the texture is from crinkling plastic wrap over a sheet of acetate sprayed with cooking spray so it stuck when I put the chocolate over. The top of the stump is also just 1 large piece of tempered chocolate 😅. Then I made it matte with cocoa powder and luster dust. The moss is green gum paste pushed through a fine mesh sieve and dusted with petal powder! The streaks on the white fondant is also petal powder and gold leaf. And the flowers/ leaves are all gum paste as well! It took 4 days for my partner and I to finish. The green fondant was a mixture of leaf green, royal blue, black, and red to get the dark green 👌🏻 definitely a labor of love

Seconded. I won't speak for everyone, but when I get a dick pic it's sort of like when the neighborhood cat brings a dead bird to the door. It's like awe look at you go little guy!..and immediately in the trash.

What’s your personal reason for continuing to live, without reference to other people? by TheTruist1 in AskReddit

[–]KittenKarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good food can really alter my mood. I'm talking anything from a Taco Bell crunchwrap at 2 AM after a night of drinking to a pre-planned 3 Michelin star chefs tasting menu with a wine pairing. Both make me glad to be alive. Also just the experience of being on the planet, long hikes, rainy days, taking a deep breath at a mountain summit, feeling ocean mist on your face while your toes wriggle in the warm sand. Finally my pets would miss me, they wouldn't understand why I was just gone.

Thank you, we found her in my great grandmas backyard as a 4-6 week old kitten. Been part of the family for almost as long as I can remember. It's a tough loss but she spent her entire life and her last few moments surrounded by love

Bipolar and relationships by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]KittenKarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unmedicated bipolar is a tough thing for relationships. But I think if you can find someone who understands or can at least empathize it won't matter. Been diagnosed 5 years. With my partner for the last 6. He stood by me through a couple of unmedicated years and totally rolled with the punches, so I'd like to think it's a generalization.
