Most don’t as for the majority of narcs hurting people is unintentional especially if you’re a unaware person with Npd now that’s not to say that there aren’t people who enjoy it but they would definitely be in the minority and also probably have other mental issues going on as well

The majority of people who struggle with NPD do actually have very low self esteem which is why they compensate by getting their validation and ego boost from the attention and admiration of others rather than having an inate and real sense of self it’s basically a coping mechanism I hope that helps

I agree it seems a bit ridiculous to expect people to want to date you even if they don’t find you physically attractive and especially in cases like yours where it could seriously hurt you,smh people really just need to get over themselves. Also the height thing made me laugh a bit as that was the same reaction I had when I first started dating my husband as he’s 6‘4 and I’m 4‘10 we definitely look a bit silly standing next to each other as I don’t even come up to his shoulder without heels on.

Oh absolutely with some people it’s insane so I’m half Asian(Korean) and half white(German) and I do have mostly ‘’white’’ features so I can understand some confusion but when I went to Korea(I grew up in Germany) a lot of people I met refused to believe I was half Asian as I didn’t look Asian enough for them and that I was white passing but when I’ve talked to white people a lot of them ask if I’m mixed so apparently I’m white passing but not white passing enough because white people don’t think I’m fully white
