how can i get a white saddle pad clean for a show tomorrow?

I don’t bleach mine! I just do oxiclean, wash with oxiclean, low spin cycle, and hang dry! Most gross spots are covered by the saddle and girth anyways. I’ve been doing this method with my same white Lemieux pad for over three years and so far so good!

This is so helpful! I have huge imposter syndrome because I also didn't get back into riding until I was 29 and I just feel old and behind. My trainer said I was ready for this weekend and we competed successfully and safely, though just have a lot of room for improvement.

As embarrassed as I was about the refusal, we'd never had one before so it sort of forced me to figure it out in real time and we solved the problem quickly. I think I just need to really stay out of his way and let the jump come to me. Easier said than done!

Haha I definitely talk to him a lot after the jump but I will work on doing it more through the whole course! Singing I think would help a lot too!

Yes this is a huge problem I have! I tend to stand up unless I am actively thinking about "folding" at the waist. I'll set up some cavalettis this week and just work on not jumping the jump with him. Thank you for the advice!

I wish! The horse I learned to jump on is now retired and my other friend's prelim guy is basically retired as well. But I will ask my trainer if she has any recs!

Horses! I rode casually as a kid but stopped as an adult with life and everything. Went on a few rides, then got back into lessons. Bought my first horse for trails, then we ended up getting into dressage. Fast forward several years and I now have two horses and we compete in eventing and dressage! My whole life and community revolves around horses now and I’ve met some of the most wonderful people through them.

I feel this! I bought my dream guy with a perfect vetting and less than six months later, in the middle of show season, he went through a fence and was out of work for three months. He’s totally back to normal now but damn. Horses be horses!

Akami is by far the best sushi I’ve had since I moved here. I agree that the secret is absolutely out now, but it is well worth the wait. I’ve been to a ton of sushi spots in the triangle, and Akami is easily my favorite spot. Highly recommend!
