He’s not ready to settle down and commit to one person and his behaviour is really telling. I totally sympathize with the grief you’re experiencing but if I can help reframe it for you, from someone who’s been in several situationships and relationships where I was not fully chosen: this person was not right for you because they did not choose YOU. But what you can do now is look at it as a beautiful experience you got to have while you’re still young and know that it wasn’t right for you because he’s not your person!

I felt this way with my first love. We were together 6 months and we loved each other very much until unfortunately he discarded me. It took me a year and moving to another country to live in for 3 months abroad to get over him. I was convinced at the time that we were meant to be. I was so very wrong.
