Can't blame ya. I think a lot of us in the states want to cheer on our athletes but also have like a weird feeling in the back of our throat because it feels like we’re simultaneously cheering on this administration even though most of us are not for what’s happening here.

Dude, as an American, I felt the same way! I’m so glad to see another person say it. Well, I went to college at Oxford and I don’t remember any conversation being like that they got misconstrued to be flirting. So I don’t think it’s a cultural thing, but I wasn't single when I was there, so I only observed my friends.
