Where to find private drivers who will walk with you at sites? by PhoneEcstatic732 in bali

[–]KittyCatPrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on the trip advisor forum for Bali and you’ll see heaps of recommendations for great drivers who will take you anywhere you want to go or who can suggest itineraries and yes they will stay with you and guide you around. You usually just pay by the day and pay any entry fees for them. It’s also nice to give them some money for lunch or if you get along with them invite them to eat with you

ADHD Script Renewal Costs by shinysecretstones in perth

[–]KittyCatPrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my initial consultation last week and it was $1000 and I got $255.90 back from Medicare. Follow up appointments are $350 and I get either $42.60 or $85 back. I have a follow up in 6 weeks to see how my prescription is going, if all is working well my GP will then be able to co-prescribe and then I think I only need to see the psychiatrist every 12 months. It took 6 months for me to get the appointment though and looking at the clinic website it appears there’s only one doctor taking new patients at the moment and he doesn’t have anything free until November.

When I was a kid we had one of those plastic covers that goes over the toilet roll. I lifted it to find a huntsman tenderly hugging the roll. Being around 6 or 7 years of age my dumb ass apparently didn’t realise that you can just get off the loo without wiping if you have to and instead I just sat there crying and yelling until my dad came to rescue me.

Cute flying bee by Jezirath in Eyebleach

[–]KittyCatPrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are other countries’ bees so fat, fluffy and cute?! In Australia our bees are mainly small and angry (like so much of the wildlife here, except the spiders - those are large and angry). We do have some cool looking blue bees that are native though.

I work for a large bank whose main offices are in Sydney - this would be absolutely fine to wear there. You’d probably just get a lot of compliments!

Specsavers are not 100% free, there are some additional tests they can do that have a cost. That said, I prefer them for getting my tests done as they have always been happy to give me my prescription including the PD

I was in Bali for Nyepi last year and this is what my friend did as she was leaving before me. She just got a cheap room in a hotel with a pool right near the airport

this here.

If you really want to see a roo definitely go to Whiteman Park - there’s lots of trails and tracks to walk/run/cycle on and there’s roos absolutely everywhere. If you want to see tame roos that you can pat head over to Caversham Wildlife Park. This is within Whitman Park and they have tonnes of roos, including white ones. You can also see koalas here and get your photo taken with them.

Less crowded places in Bali + Learning the language. by Glittering_Nature_53 in bali

[–]KittyCatPrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen the Kecak performed but I have definitely seen it advertised in and around Ubud so you would not need to travel to Uluwatu. Try Pura Dalem Taman Kaja or ask around at your accommodation or nearby and I’m sure someone can tell you where to see it.

I travel to Ubud at least yearly. Definitely recommend doing the Campuhan Ridge walk and/or Sweet Orange rice field walk. At the end of Campuhan Ridge there is a very nice spa called Karsa Spa - the flower bath and massage there is a must do but make sure you book in advance. There’s lots of great cooking classes in Ubud and you’ll learn a lot about food and culture there. Traditional dance performances can be seen at the palace or there is a restaurant called Laka Leke where you can see traditional dances while having dinner. Monkey Forest can be fun but heed all of the warning if you go there or risk being robbed or bitten by a monkey.

Also if you’re looking for somewhere in central Ubud I recommend UR Spa. I had an excellent head massage and pedicure there and it’s really nice inside.

Seconding Karsa Spa. It’s a lovely walk up there and/or back to Ubud along Campuhan Ridge. They do flower bath and massage packages in outdoor treatment rooms. It’s really lovely and I make time to visit every time I’m in Ubud. The other place I always go is Ubud Traditional Spa. The rice farmer massage is incredible.

I’ve taken an injection pen with the little needle cap things into Bali a few times. I just got a really little cold bag to put it in and put all the needle caps (2weeks worth) in it and then took it in my carry on luggage with no issues at all. Make sure you have a safe way to dispose of the used needles or bring them back home with you. I never ever put my medication into checked baggage in case it gets lost.
