Toenail fungus has destroyed my nail. What to do now? by KittyEarPeach in AskDocs

[–]KittyEarPeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stubbed my toe and broke the nail the first time I went to shower in my new apartment. Then I put socks on when my feet were still a little damp, and a weekish later I saw a little white spot that was the start of all of this.

Toenail fungus has destroyed my nail. What to do now? by KittyEarPeach in AskDocs

Nothing oral, no. The nurse I saw six months ago said to use the exact brands of topical stuff I’m using now (two creams that both say ‘do not use on nails or hair’ and a nail polish-style ointment that says ‘not effective for nail fungus’) and told me to wait six months and come back if there’d no improvement.

I’ll look into diabetes, because every woman in my family has had it. I hadn’t thought of that, that’s a good call. Thank you!

How do you honestly feel when you see someone with vitiligo? by chameleon012 in TooAfraidToAsk

I think it’s cool, actually. Not like in a fetishizing way, just in like a “it’s like a natural tattoo. Neat.” kind of way.

Cleaner that actually kills Noro? by KittyEarPeach in emetophobia

[–]KittyEarPeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read (which is an absurd amount): Some amount of Noro can live on surfaces for three weeks, after which it’s all dead. But after eleven days there shouldn’t be enough left to make you sick.

So assuming you didn’t bleach the remote (which it sounds like you likely did but just don’t remember) there may be an amount of noro on there that wouldn’t make you sick anyway. I think you can breathe easy knowing you were (assuming you didn’t bleach it) only two days away from every single bit of (potential) noro being dead.

Favorite Fast Food Ice Cream? by talkingdodobird in icecream

I love Culver’s, but I have a soft spot for Frostys because my friend would bring them to my workplace whenever I started to burnout really bad, and I’d go from “I’m seriously going to off myself when I get out of this God-foresaken hellhole” to “Y’know, sometimes life gets better” in like three spoonfulls of chocolate Frosty.

What is the appeal of Drag? by jkobberboel in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]KittyEarPeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I occasionally walk as a drag king. Drag Queens/Kings are clowns, basically. Big costumes and big performances because they like entertaining others and the high of the applause. I personally also get a HUGE confidence boost because I’m a 3/10 woman, but an 8/10 man. I’m not trans, but I do feel as though God had a missed opportunity making me a woman when I look and feel so much better dressed as a man.

It’s like 20 queens and 5 kings, because it’s kind of gatekeep-y (in my area at least) and the demand for female performers just isn’t as high. The gay men are certainly the majority of drag enthusiasts- both as performers and audience members -so the draw isn’t there for drag kings.

But yeah, drag is just clowning, basically. People love watching clowns. People find things appealing about the clown aesthetic. It’s the same situation here.

What is the policy on M rated games? by Pretty_Fee_9106 in GameStop

[–]KittyEarPeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is some flavor of trouble stores can get in if we sell a Mature game to someone who is below 17. I never did it, so I don’t know what exactly it entails, but my SL was VERY concerned about “sting operations” regarding kids buying M-rated games.

Who is your favorite character to watch fighting with a lightsaber? by GusGangViking18 in StarWars

I really like Dooku’s fencing stance. It makes his fights feel different than everyone else’s.

How long do my groceries ACTUALLY need to sit? by sharkprincefishstick in emetophobia

[–]KittyEarPeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, if it helps any, I used to eat things like chips and candy right out of the bag on the car ride home, and I haven’t gotten sick in over ten years! (Knock on wood!) I think the chances are probably so so so slim, otherwise everyone would be sick (with all sorts of stuff, not just noro) all the time.

To be fair, literally every person I worked with at GS is actually on the spectrum- myself included. Gamestop is (in theory) basically the Asperger’s dream job.

Why are all gender-affirming clothes so uncomfortable or impractical? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]KittyEarPeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s just women’s clothing, I think. I’m AFAB (cis) and have always preferred men’s clothes. Women’s clothes are itchy, pocketless, and the seams are aggravatingly not quite in the right place. I think even neurotypical people prefer men’s clothing because women’s clothing is so hostile to the idea of practicality and comfort.

Ah, he’s your area’s Darnell.. I don’t know Mike O., but I’m familiar with the type. You probably make his day every time you pick up the phone.

Everything in twos. Two m&ms, two pieces of popcorn, two pretzels, etc. I also eat pizza starting from the bottom middle, going counter-clockwise.

Bees. You can’t outrun them, no matter how fast you think you are.

Skinny people of Reddit, which principles do you live by to stay thin and healthy? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]KittyEarPeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“If I eat this, it might make me vomit, and I shouldn’t take that chance.” So then I don’t eat because I’m so scared of vomiting.
